Welcome to Open Mic UK the singing competition which searches for the UK’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who can perform either covers or your own songs. The competition offers competitors the opportunity to perform live in front of large audiences, generating media attention and exposure.

Singing Contest
Open Mic UK gives you plenty of important opportunities to showcase your music and singing including the chance to perform live in front of music and entertainment industry Judges including National Radio, BBC Introducing, Regional Press and Celebrity Judges. Past celebrity judges for the singing competition have included Radio One’s DJ’s Ras Kwame, R’n’B sensation Shola Ama and Singer/DJ Dane Bowers.
The competition will be going up and down the UK and coming to a city or town near you. Check out the audition dates to find your nearest Open Mic UK contest venue. This prestigious talent competition aims to discover acts with the potential to become recording artists and who knows even the next Birdy, Jesse J or Chipmunk!
Open Mic UK prides itself on taking its live shows to the most prestigious venues throughout the UK. Performing in these venues not only provides an exhilarating experience for everyone taking part in the talent contest, it also gives competitors the opportunity to perform on some of the best stages in the country, all whilst developing their craft and getting their music heard!
And if you make it through the audition stage of the singing competition YOU COULD BE PLAYING THE NATIONAL GRAND FINAL AT INDIGO AT THE O2 IN LONDON
Up to £50,000 in prizes are up for grabs along the way. The winner will receive £5,000 cash, the runner up will receive £2,500 and the remaining age category winners will receive £1,000!
Singing Auditions
Anyone can enter Open Mic UK- as long as you have parental consent and have a great voice, there’s a place for you in the talent audition. Musicians and singers are all welcome!
The music competition is divided into age categories; 16 and Under, 17-22 and 23 and over. All types of singers, vocal performers, groups and acoustic singer/songwriters are invited to enter Open Mic UK; the singing contest’s main aim is to discover an act that has the ability to become a professional recording artist.
Only the most talented of those who audition progress to perform at the Live Regional and Area finals, and previous winners have included teen sensation Birdy - So, what are you waiting for? ENTER NOW!
