Newcastle recording studio owner, Ian Thompson, started working in professional studios in 1979. In 1988 he became Senior Recording Engineer at The Mill Recording Studios in Cleveland.

Ian Thompson worked as a freelance engineer at many famous studios between 1992 and 2001 until he decided to open his own studio, White Wolf. Ian Thompson has a vast amount of recording credits including Erasure, The New London Symphony and recently, Joe McElderry.

White Wolf Recording Studio opened in July 2001 with the vision of creating a friendly, professional recording environment covering all genres of music and speech. In the past 10 years it has grown in size and reputation. A year after opening, two large rehearsal rooms were extended onto the existing building. White Wolf works closely with major artists and labels as well as local bands, solo artistes, media music production and voice overs.
