Unsigned music journalist, Juanita McGowen a.k.a “Beatlebabe”, is a professional marketing executive and journalist with over 14 years’ experience in business and media with an academic background in music appreciation and technology. Juanita has been seen as a major influence in the Midlands’ unsigned music scene, and she has been chosen as an industry judge for several music competitions. As a journalist she writes regular columns for Midlands Music Maniacs, Midlands Rocks and Electric Banana which feature unsigned and up and coming local musicians.  She also hosts a monthly podcast and internet radio programme on Sanctuary Xposed Radio.

Born and bred in America, Juanita McGowen has worked as a radio presenter and music columnist in Ohio for WBNO FM/WQCT AM, WXKR FM and Toledo’s independent lifestyle newspaper, The Weekly. She’s had the pleasure of interviewing and reviewing music industry greats like Alice Cooper, B.B. King, Goo Goo Dolls, Ray Manzarek, Guns-n-Roses, Billy Duffy, Stiff Little Fingers, Joe Satriani, David Crosby, Toyah Willcox, Ray Davies and The Allman Brothers.
