Singing contest in Camden, London–16 and under category
Frank-E– Nice singer need to bring more expression to the performance especially in the instrumental sections. Great voice, appears to have a huge range but the song didn’t let you express it. You need more connection with the audience.
J-KEE– Good confidence getting the audience participating from the very start. Performed well but look to use the stage a little more get to the front and give a little more attitude.
Pastel Hearts– Performed well with a well worked routine and in the main a well delivered vocal, could have maybe worked on layering the harmonies more to give a fuller vocal sound.
Paiidz- Good stage attitude and original song with an image to match. Original song is good but lyrical hook is a little repetitive. Great vocal capability, connects well with audience.
Leonne Sullivan– Good vocal and tone although a little lacking in performance and expression. Breathing and pitching need work and you need to connect more with the audience.
Emily White– Nice vocally again but perhaps climb into those notes a little more and perform the focal points.
Kid Credible– Performs well and song has good melody not sure it’s a hit single so keep writing and I'm sure a breaking defining single will come. Needs a little bit more individuality in performance to push above others
Static– Nice vibe and melody to the song, perhaps that killer lyrical hook line is all its missing. You need to work on your stage presence and be more involved.
Folake– Always performs with a smile which is endearing, perhaps needs to bring a modern edge to proceedings now as very dated and difficult to see as an act in today’s music market. Try to work on your look/ outfit.
Kat’s Head- Take care when playing not to knock the guitar mic. Ambitious track, a bit of work needed to sync vocal work and instrumental.
Singing contest in Camden, London–Further feedback for 16 and under category
Juliana Teixeira– Good expression throughout perhaps really try to take the dynamics to real focus on the main focal points of the song to give more impact.
Rianne Reyes– Lovely voice with bags of potential, probably time to pick songs to make her own and not obvious numbers that need to be belted out.
Scarlett– Guitar work didn’t match the vocal ability so would look to work on that to make it more intricate and interesting. Watch your pitching and audience communication.
Liat– Has a fantastic voice and performance wouldn’t look out of place in a west end show. Original song needs more of a catch to have single potential. Voice for theatre and musicals.
India Jean-Jacques– Potential is there but need to perform more and learn your stage craft.
Paris– So young but a lovely vocal just needs to bring more swagger and natural performance to the routine.
Anna B– Liked the cover, the original needed something more clearer diction and a stronger hook. Good individuality. Relax more on stage.
Caroline Alvares– Performed well with sass and charm and nice to see you have the confidence to do a song in your native song. Try and vary the performance on stage more, have a few more go to moves to make the performance more interesting.
Joshua Munisi– Probably a bit early for Joshua today but keep performing to improve as the potential is there just need to learn to relax more and flow.
Sabrina Parker– Good committed performance, nice vocal just try and engage more with the expression to take the audience with you as you convey the song.
Kaitlyn– Just trying too hard and you forced the vocal leading to not being on point with the tuning. Second song was far better bit Tori Amos like in delivery.
Shanice Tomlinson– Nice subtle understated vocal but simmering felt the passion of the song. Littke work needed on vocals to perfect performance, look towards blues and soul.
Sara Fae Davidson– Lovely vocal but need to throw yourself more into the performance needed more expression and passion. Although the stage is small look to use it more.
Michelle Karlson– Difficult style to capture the audience with a short set and a long show but you did a good job perhaps needed a song with more impact to start with.
The Blink– Defiantly in sync. Good stage presence, try and push your individual vocals. It really looked like you enjoyed the performance.
Singing contest in Camden, London–17-22 category
M J Duke– Good flow and delivery. Wouldn’t have done acapella although you have a nice tone a wasted opportunity to represent a little more on the cover.
Charli– Don’t forget to perform looked under rehearsed when you kept looking at the guitar player. Engage more with your audience for a more confident committed performance. Good vocals and range.
Warnz– Lyrics are strong, just need that killer lyric, diction could be clearer but overall an aphetic and an act with huge potential.
Lizabett Russo– Lovely tone to her voice, would have done a different cover as done way to often and it’s hard to make interesting. Make yourself stand apart from similar artists.
Emmy J Mac– Well performed original song, translated into the cover too with a good performance from a natural performer.
Ethan Murphy Nanton– Lovely tone to his vocal but original needed more dynamic. Shaky start, flat in parts but probably due to nerves.
Holly Carter– Performed with a smile on her face which is infectious but the chord structure and/or playing style gave a bit stutter to the performance rather than flowing as perhaps it could.
Shaz Rahman– Mash up worked well, try and coordinate the performance with more purpose. You owned the stage!
Laurent Judson– Good strong sound but felt a little unconnected to the audience. Great independent song. Vocals are strong.
Meg!– Good sound coming from the kohon, original song was well structured. Great band, acoustics are good, strong vocals.
Alex Hardcastle – As an acoustic act you are going to be judged on the strength of your original songs. Be a little more sure about your riffs before committing to them on stage. Great vocal work, took the song and made it your own.
Stefan Mahendra– Lovely tone don’t ever stop in the middle of a performance just draws more attention to the mistake that you probably would have got away with, perhaps needs more performance to grow.
Chris D’Lima– Remember to get that loop pedal layered quick and into the flow very difficult to engage whilst building the loop. Having said that you did that pretty good just be aware don’t take any longer.
Alexx James Ellison– Nice mash up, good energy and a lovely smile throughout made it engaging. Some different stand out ideas which worked well. Probably just too many different songs stopped the continuity a couple of less would have worked better.
Lucie Hickey– Nice vocal sound, guitar. Nice folk lyrics to your song. Try to work on individuality.
Singing contest in Camden, London–23 and over category
Madalena Alberto– Nice tone and urgency to the vocal but as a singer songwriter you will be judged on your song writing ability. Work on keeping your breathing controlled to the end of the phrase. The belting was excellent.
Unexpected– Image is very Bruno Mars, you have a very powerful voice but you need to know how to control it. Mic control was a little crazy at times. Guitar playing could be a bit tidier.
Conroy– Good vocal however performance was a little awkward. Need to drive home the vocal highs with the expression.
Lulah– Nice original but needed to project more didn’t really take the audience with her and needed to capture their attention early. Country image didn’t really fit her musically.
Marisa Di Muro– Cracking voice but such a hard market to break without an original song or something unique about you.
Small Town Scars– Preferred the original, they were a little unconnected with their performance which needed to have better connection between them.
Alba– Sweet vocal and a fantastic original song very heartfelt. Nice usp with the Ukekerlaylee.
Vic Elliot- Nice song but not a breaking hit and perhaps Vic is more of a songwriter and hobby singer rather than one who can break the UK market.
Fidel– Loved Fidel’s play on the Bobby M lyrics. Bit of a theme to his music very political needs a catchier lyrical hook line.
Tom Peacock– Needed more dynamics for the first song, second song made up for that with some good stomping to grab everyone’s attention.
Jade Nanton– Nice tone but need to work on strengthening the vocal and mic control. Needed to grab the attention more it was nice but a little sleepy.
Danny Baxter– Remember to engage with the audience more. Nice track and sound.
RKroners– Flowed well but work on the moves perhaps a bit more of a natural swagger to go along with the track vibe. Improved as the track went on and he relaxed more into it.
Marcus Thelwell– Good ideas musically could have engaged with the audience during the performance a large part of the performance was with his eyes shut.
Elliot Porter– Nicely written song not a lead single but potential and a song most of us can relate too. Elliot is strong on keys and a punchy vocal to drive through any song.
Ricky and The hats– Very like Blur’s Park life but a solid single and really acted out by the lead players.
Andy & Emily– Strong folk sound which would do well in the festival circuit.
MC Dekey– Interesting! Was catchy and fun perhaps a novelty hit?
Leila Seeley- Poor introduction and transition between the songs. But no knocking the vocal powerful with character.
Millia Oz– Not sure what is missing but perhaps a more unique image. Very natural performer, great stage presence.
Ellamore– Vocally good but perhaps laying up more harmonies would give more depth and make it their own although did towards the end with the Adele number. Performed with a smile which is great!
Reece Lake- Like the original song, think should have turned his cheek to the audience to engage more. Original was a stronger performance than the cover.
