Judges Feedback From The Sheffield Live Show – Over 25's Category

This weekend the judges were in Sheffield! Thousands of acts entered Open Mic UK this year and some of the best unsigned acts in the country took to the stage at the Sheffield City Hall on 26.9.10 Here the judges give us some feedback from the event, but remember, it could all change at the Area Finals!

Charra Love; Chris; Cover and original didn’t blend so well too different. Bob; confident performance but lacking vocal quality

Angeline; Chris; Was a little quiet projecting and remember to look at your audience.Karen; strong song choice

Davina Simon; Bob; good acapella performance

Chrystine Moon; Chris; Original song was good! Great to see someone enjoying themselves. Karen; original song choice

Danny Blockley; Chris; Nice performance of cover in his own style. Remember to engage with all your audience. Ben; nice original track

Gypsy Toes; Karen; needs to work on vocal training Chris; bit whiney on the first song the cover song.

J.Kas; Bob; good appearance and stage presence. Ben; original was million times better than the cover

Joanne Wilkinson; Chris; Performed it well a bit cabaret though. Nice original. Bob; own material performed with confidence

John Tansley; Bob; good singer and musician. Chris; Was good and catchy. Liked to have heard more of a cover.

Rachel Blake; Karen; great vocals Chris; Strong voice without being over engaging.

Richard Smith; Ben; nice twist to his cover Bob; good voice Chris; wanted to like it more but wasn’t as distinctive as I wanted.

Kirsty Slack; Chris; need to perform as soon as on the stage join in and perform with the dancers more. Karen; top marks for effort

Donna Ramsdale; Karen; excellent entertainer Ben; refreshing and lively Chris; this is fun, she’s going for it and a modern song.

Geneaology; Chris; Original would be better if they repeated the chorus more. Bob; lively confident performance

Nikki Rogers; Chris; well thought out image and chereography.
