Judges Feedback From The Cardiff Live Show, Under 18's Category

This weekend the judges were in Cardiff! Thousands of acts entered Open Mic UK this year and some of the best unsigned acts in the country took to the stage at the Corn Exchange on 24.10.10 Here the judges give us some feedback from the event, but remember, it could all change at the Area Finals!

Judges at Cardiff included Lynn Marie Boudreau, Angela Durrant, singer/songwriter Simon Cooper, Dean Hill, Drum school's Stuart Slater and Total Star's David Stone.

Under 18's;

Emily - Jane Beament; good vocal ability but needs to work on connection with audience.

Jade Bird; No use of stage but vocal ability good. Use the stage more.

Tia Jenkins; Looked uncomfortable during song. Confident delivery but work on performance more.

Danielle Mullins; Very watchable. Good vibe but think of image more. Needs more strength on vocal range.

Abbie Lea; Keep the connection all the way through the song not just when you are singing.

Gabby; Good song to do acoustically. Great use of stage keep working on vocals.

Grace Furmage; Maybe a different song for style of voice. Need more experience of stage and how to deliver a song.

Jessica Hannah McNeil; Great confidence, work on timing. Vocals very good for a musical.

Leilah Hughes; Fantastic vocal range and just needs to make some notes last longer. Gained more confidence as song went on.

Maya; Very relaxed performer good blend into the next song, watch key in chorus - went out of tune.

Rebecca James; Nice tone to voice. Be even better with stage movement.

Sophie Cooke; Well performed original style, created a great atmosphere. Good use of dynamics.

Sophie Cotterell; Needs to develop her own vocal style.

Theya Fowler; Nice tone to voice but be more inventive with songs. Lacking confidence, work on confidence.

Zelah Van-Gowler; Image great. Make sure you don't copy, find your own style. Vocals need to be stronger.

Taylor Cousins; Liked the idea of own song. Vocals could be stronger.

Nicole Collier; Good confident delivery, pitch slightly out on certain notes

Georgia Miller; Good eye contact, good choice of song. Loosen up the performance more, take acting or dance classes to feel ever more confident.
