This weekend the judges were in Cardiff! Thousands of acts entered Open Mic UK this year and some of the best unsigned acts in the country took to the stage at the Corn Exchange on 24.10.10 Here the judges give us some feedback from the event, but remember, it could all change at the Area Finals!

Please note: views expressed by Judges are opinions and in no way reflect the views of Open Mic UK.

Judges at Cardiff included Lynn Marie Boudreau, Angela Durrant, singer/songwriter Simon Cooper, Dean Hill, Drum school's Stuart Slater and Total Star's David Stone

18-25's;

Charlotte Elsey; Controlled opening and friendly delivery. Song choice perhaps too difficult.

Grant Griffiths; Think about image in your next performance. Natural story telling and pure voice.

Kirsty O'brien; Watch diction, powerful voice but perhaps start smaller so it has somewhere to go.

Beatbox Tangent; Nice triplets, vocal variation amazing at times, need to engage audience as well.

Chloe Cooke; Dealt with technical hitch well, watch image. Confidence came across straight away.

Michael Platt; Engaging with audience, lovely clean vocals, timing needs work.

Ashley Horton; Nice vocal, good energy, try to tell us the story with your eyes. Need to use stage more.

Casi Wyn; Good dynamics. Great emotion in your storytelling.

Chris Hughes; Strong clean voice, great confidence, pitch sounds out every now and then and perhaps not the right song for you.

Dec and Harri; Need to work on relationship between peformers on stage, Great vocals but rhythmically not quite there yet.

Emma Stone; No use of stage, needs facial expressions, good audience interaction.

Emma White; Interesting choice of material, sung well, try not to look at pianist during performance, it disrupts it.

Jasmine Griffiths; Dynamically varied, confident, flexible performance but don't hold on to the muc during performance.

Jemma Krysa; Same song as audition would have liked to have heard something else. Great image work on delivery to audience.

Meet The Martyns; You have potential but need to think outside the box and work on performance anxiety.

Michelle Cook; Focused voice, don't look down. Nerves took over.

Rebecca Jones; Very engaging to watch, do an much performance you can to keep confidence growing. More power in the high notes would have been great.

John Anthony Adams; Looks confident, don't be tempted to speed up ahead of the track. Use the stage more.
