Talent Competition London - Industry Feedback for singers at Open Mic UK London auditions

Talent competition in London, Open Mic UK, has provided Industry feedback for singers at the London auditions. Singing auditions in London saw more than 400 auditioning in front of the Open Mic industry experts. Judges included vocal coaches, music journalists and A&R managers. The talent competition feedback on selected acts can be seen below.

Talent Competition London Feedback

Jahna Lucero – Work on breathing to help performance and being more relaxed.

Adrian Bevan – Good projection and delivery.

Siana Sonefreid – Try to focus and control the nerves as you have a lovely voice.

Georgia Cahill – Try to engage with your audience.

Grace Gerrard – Lovely tone, remember to engage. Perform in front of the mirror and/or recorded which will help.

Kidtaztik – Confident and relaxed, just five it more punch to the performance.

Shafiq ‘n’ Shane – Slow it down and practice makes perfect.

Kaleb Scott – Project vocal more as you have a good voice.

Delicia Edgar – Good expression and engagement.

Paper Faces – Song is well constructed, work on performance to back it up.

Charlie Smith – Lovely tone and clever mix of tracks.

Symphony – Good song. Try and give some more swagger to the performance.

Oliver Robinson – Get the chorus/hook in earlier for what is a strong and engaging song.

Talent Competition London, Further Feedback

Naomi Francis – Really original, being picky perhaps take out the odd phrase so lyrics scan better in the delivery.

Max Marshall – Need to project more, very quiet

Aaron Lewis – Good engagement, eye contact and performance.

Rose Betts – What a beautiful song.  What soul and passion. 

Martin Ronson – Very good control and expression.

Angel McKenzie – Entertaining but trying to paly too many instruments.

Raz – Think image!

Ultrasound – Needed to get into the flow of the song quicker.

Makai Legister – Needs to practice and be perfect as is original.  You cannot practice enough!!

Rose Betts – Lovely song, 19 years old! Image.  Lots of character to your voice, nice song too.

Naomi Francis – Solid performance, take deeper breaths to help get through your lyrics.

Sadeeb – Nice rhythms, try to add more dynamics to your delivery.

Lydia – Very hard song and you controlled your voice quite well.

Georgia Cahill – Good song choice and interesting tone.

Rya – Work on your confidence and you should be good.

Leoni – A big voice for a small lady.

Asha – A confident performance and a smooth tone.

Lucy – Nice guitar work. Very Mumford and Son’s, very current!

Olivia – Good control of a soft vocal but don’t forget your diction at the end of the words.

Joanne – Don’t use the tambourine.

Kaleb – Great look and potential – voice too quiet against the guitar.  Nice song but work on your vocal projection as your voice struggles to be heard over the guitar.
