Talent Competition Glasgow - Industry Feedback for singers at Open Mic UK Glasgow auditions
Talent competition in Glasgow, Open Mic UK, has provided Industry feedback for singers at the Glasgow auditions. Singing auditions in Glasgow saw more than 200 auditioning in front of the Open Mic industry experts. Judges included vocal coaches, music journalists and A&R managers. The talent competition feedback on selected acts can be seen below.

Talent Competition Glasgow Feedback
Moni – Careful on the high notes control your vocal and it can be good.
Ifra Thomas – Soulful and original but guitar playing not brilliant.
Courage – Nice song - he felt it and put his own spin on it. Could have been more expansive though.
Fiona Boyd – Good song well performed.
Jade Kane – Good performance to the judges and decent vocals but work on originality.
Morgan Doran – Let go a little it felt very constrained.
Jenna Milroy – Nicely performed, hit the right notes.
Charlotte Dacre – Common song choice think about originality. More performance needed.
Ihsan Kerr– Careful of long intros in auditions but a captivating performance.
Katrina – A little out of tune at first but recovered well.
Morgan Cox – Huge voice. Work on originality.
Andrew Buntin – Great that voice is different but don’t play on it too much.
Stacey Holmes – Really need to prepare better for an audition. Should have known which track it was. Decent rapping though.
Emma Tsui – Original but a bit messy. More rehearsal needed.
Jake McGarry – Attitude and confidence good to see. Work on originality in cover but overall good.
Steve Tshwyoka – No confidence. Voice not the strongest. No performance.
Jamie Turner – Decent but please rehearse and know your song better.
Karla Bernardi – Made the cover her own, very soulful voice and good image.
Gillian Innes - Off key and out of tune in parts. Very good in others.
Semblance – Very Jouney South. Something that could work. Good harmonies.
Lindsay Mackai – A little off tune. Have more confidence and voice control could improve.
Erin Bayer- Great powerful performance. Very strong. Great playing, great vocals.
Fidelia – Very soft try and give your voice more power and authority.
Caroline Gilmour – Not show how much guitar playing she was doing. It doesn’t quite work.
Lee Connelly - A tepid rap. Go for it more have more belief and put in a bigger performance.
Amanda Marment – Nice soft version of a classic. Slipped up twice should have kept going.

Kirsty McGuckin – Strong vocals & confident.
Kathryn Ronney– Good vocal tone.
Saskia Eng– Nice vocal but need to work on the dynamic.
Roselyn Mutongerwa – Confident but vocals still need work.
Rebecca Robertson– Confident. Vocals still need work though.
Morvan– Vocals still need work. Tuning was a problem.
Francesca Kimberley– Strong vocals.
Stacy McIntosh– Good vocal but let down by timing.
Coal Town Daisy– Good vocals and good harmonies.
Mosa– Quirky performance, had charm.
Gonzo– Good guitar work – vocals need work.
Zed & Sophia– Vocals need work.
Jocelyn – Vocals need work.
Sharice– Perhaps a faster song would have suited her better.
Paige Turley– Nice voice but you need to project it a little more.
Druv – Will improve as he gets older.
Caitlin Taylor– Best when she extended her voice.
Bethany Patton– Confident performance.
Jordyn Hutchison– Vocals a little flat.
Sinead – Very nervous. Nerves got in the way of her performance.
Alanah – Flat performance. Needs a little more engagement with the audience/judges.
Steven & Alison– Good song well delivered. Alison’s voice should be heard more though.
Kenzie Mack– Decent original song. Voice a little limited though.
Train of Thought– Good but work on harmonies.
