Talent Competition Sheffield - Industry Feedback for singers at Open Mic UK Sheffield auditions
Talent competition in Sheffield, Open Mic UK, has provided Industry feedback for singers at the Sheffield auditions. Singing auditions in Sheffield saw more than 200 auditioning in front of the Open Mic industry experts. Judges included vocal coaches, music journalists and A&R managers. The talent competition feedback on selected acts can be seen below.

Talent Competition Sheffield Feedback
Lucy Davis – Straining slightly. Not the best song choice for vocals.
Danielle Charlesworth – Careful of Americanisation of voice.
Holly Cook – Nice voice work on performance.
Amelia Snell – More performance needed. No confidence and it’s affecting vocals.
Pippa Crossland – Great confidence would be good with a crowd.
Molly Aitken – Work in progress keep performing and develop your vocals.
Liam Brooksby –Develop your own style a bit karaoke but the minerals are there.
Celina Lee- Great performance with confidence but broke down twice. Sing through it.
Nancy Eaves – Different. A bit of rock chick she’ll be god for the comp.
Charlotte Branson – Well done for putting own stamp on song. Well performed just watch vocals as you’re scaling up.
Leanne Fotheringham – One to watch. Diamond for originality and confidence.
Olivia Brown – Good original image but would have liked to have seen it reflected in singing style.
Kirsty Travers – Watch breathing and relax more you have a decent voice that can get better.
Jessica Clough – Good vocals but think about your image.
Rosie Shann- Great take on the Beatles. Strong performance.
Rebecca Vaughan – Work on more expansive guitar playing. Decent voice would benefit from a more delicate technique.
Reece Booth – Good voice but felt like an impersonation develop your own style. Good image too.
Ben Bolton – Excellent but keep your individuality and avoid sounding American.
Mason Camm –You really needed to do as your song suggested and lose yourself in the moment.
Bella – Don’t over harmonise and you can be good. Got better as it went along.
Ellie & James – It’s good but don’t try to hit notes you can’t reach keep in control.
Danny Beattie – Please develop your own style to vocals. At the moment it’s pub singer but could be much better.
Talent Competition Sheffield, Further Feedback
Aidan O’Donenell – Should probably have played a song you knew well.
Elizabeth Whitehead – Strong. Holds note well. Confident.
Duncan Kent – More energy please. Think about captivating the audience.
Amie Fishwick – A pleasant act. Work on guitar technique so you can bring more to your songs.
Dwight Pereira – Nice act just freshen up the chords, make them softer and more effective.
Dan Aspinall - Vocals good.
Victoria Bella – Work on timing and tempo. It was a little irregular.
Shamiya – Nice texture to her voice. Could improve timing and rhythm.
KOG– An emotive performance. Lovely texture to voice. Very enjoyable.
Sherrie Lee – Nice voice. Watch the ends of your lines and develop your own style. Be different!
Benita – Tuning needs to be better. Perhaps down to nerves.
Brentwood – Perhaps you would be better with a band
Si Clancy – Very distinct voice.
Ami Notman – You have a lovely voice but the song perhaps needed more shape.
Ruth Copeland– Strong voice and very confident. Breathing needs work
Ebonie Preston– Good delivery of song.
