Talent Competition Brighton Feedback

Fortune – Work on the harmonies, too many parts are being sung the same. Lovely tone and singing just need to work on the harmonies.  And look up!

Shannon Smith – Performed it well and expression was good. Controlled the nerves well.

Alice – Great voice but try and relax your upper body more.

Kirsty Fallowfield – Vocal has beautiful tone however didn’t always hold up suggesting more work required or wrong song choice, much better performance second time round. Also give more expression to the performance and engage more.

Toby Lewis – Pure tone, very sweet musical theatre with excellent pitch.

Amy Wheeler – Cute voice just try and control nerves more.

Amber Pierce – Very theatrical going forward for this competition suggest something to cross over or something more contemporary.

Jemma Murphy – Good tone and delivery was strong but uncross your arms gave a very negative body language so work on that to perform more.

General...not another Adele! C’mon guys so many good songs to choose from don’t make an obvious choice.

Courtney Nokes – Unstable breathing technique work on breathe control but fantastic voice with beautiful tone, focus on words and diction.

Sophie Reed – Good character and expression. Just watch pitch and breathing.

Daniel Walford - Loving the singing but needs to be backed up with guitar playing being more complex, sorry to mention but take to the next level may need another guitar player.

Caitlin King – Great to see you enjoying what you do and expressing that, don’t ever lose that quality.

Shack – All the judges loved the funky vibe! A very natural performer.

Bryong Brookman – Took a while to get going needed to quicken the tempo and make an impact from the start.  Need to express more.

Rachel Noel – Great look and voice. Watch your breathing and speed (speed up a lot).

Jordan and Beth – Remember to engage with your audience not just each other.

Times 2 – It was like watching double with everything and need to make a strong distinction on image, performance and more harmonies.

Talent Competition Brighton, Further Feedback

Charlotte – More dynamics needed but a good strong tone and performance.

Phat Bones – Good electro beat but repetitive.

Jennifer Wilson – Work on upper range so as strong as the lower range. Using the prop for a mic looked unprofessional.

Elijah MC – Remember to engage more with your eyes and speed up set up and build up as it’s really interesting, needs to now go to the next level think Nigel Kennedy on the loop pedals?

Josie – Great tone but watch pitch.

Morgan Smith – Very nervous which really affected the performance.

Glen Godfrey – Need to make the performance more interesting and unique. Play around with the dynamics of both the song and performance you are doing?

Sydney Rutherford - Made one of the best performances of a boring song great talent don’t do that song in the show!
