Music Contest London Feedback – 17-22 age category

Jasmine Finnerty – Could cultivate a more edgy image. Performance was good she hid nerves well and felt the song. Could have picked a more exciting number though. Could have used the stage more and engaged the audience.

Mubarek Alli – Good crowd raiser. Should have carried on through error we wouldn’t have noticed. Never apologise during a performance. Great start but lost timing. Great image. Diction could be better.

Oliver Robinson – Good voice uses it well. Try and be smoother between your songs, it lost momentum when you started talking to the crowd. Nice original song but it lacked punch. Nice dynamic tone and good song writing.

Abigael Thompson – Off key I’m afraid. Dancers added a nice image but they should have dressed the same. The routine was good.  An energetic performance but that caused breath issues.

Nick D’Souza – Good image I think he could have owned the stage more. Backing track had vocals in it which made it a little hard to hear his rapping. Work on mic technique.

Lauren Gray – Lacked timing throughout. Could have owned the stage more. Take the mic off the stand and work it. Nice cover version you made it your own.

Luke Crawford – Needed to put his own stamp on the song, lacked originality. Got better as he went along vocally.  Hit some good notes towards the end. Nice soulful vibe but rough around the edges.

Charles Karter – Looks good but needed more impact from the start. All a bit one dimensional vocally but he owned that stage. Work on clarity and diction.

Music Contest London, Further Feedback

Sosa – Confident performance. Great tempo and delivery. Good hook in the song.

Rose Betts – Really nice voice. Great cover choice. Hauntingly good vocals. She completely captured the audience. Individual and charismatic.

Rooshi – Poor cover choice. Lacked excitement. He would have had to be incredibly good vocally to pull off the song. Work on your support as it’s sending you off the pitch.

Shafiq ‘N’ Shane AKA S ‘N’ S – More rehearsal needed not quite polished enough. Lads need more chemistry. Taller lad has some ability and should have played more of a part. Poor cover choice. There is potential there but you need to tighten up.

Symphony – Worked the stage area well but not sure if it helped her vocals which went off time. Nice image but could have looked a bit more edgy. Second song was more energetic and better delivered.

Elley – Brave song choice but she nailed the accapella intro no sign of nerves. Made it her own too. Great image. Pitchy in places but otherwise vocally commanding.

T’Shan – Nice routine and good image. Good original song would benefit from a stronger chorus but great beats. This girl knows her craft. Must stick to the rules and perform a cover song as well.
