Singing Opportunity Glasgow Feedback – 16 and under category

Ishan Kerr– Great image. Nerves showed early on but shook them off. A few bum notes. Nice original. Went well over time limit.

Emily Cochrane– Looks the part. She has a big voice but needs to be more original to stand out. Great vocals but a little nasal.

Jenna Milroy– Good stage performance and a very big voice. She had fun which was nice to see. Great choice of song.

Miss Caitlin Taylor– Good originality and nice original song. Needed to put her own spin on the cover a little more.

Beth Swan- Vocally not quite on the mark on this occasion. A big song to take on, very bold. Not the most original song choice. Super voice for one so young missed a few notes but that’ll improve with time.

Andie Barr– Worked the stage and got the crowd going. Mostly vocals on point but lost it on the big notes very slightly. The song perhaps wasn’t best suited to her voice.

Bethany Patton– A very theatrical performance. Smart image but go for edge over smart to really stand out. Lovely performance, confident and well sung.

Beth Adams– A measured performance good mic technique which was important for the song.  Refreshingly different.

Courage – Put his own stamp on Snow Patrol but missed a few notes. A bit flat. A far better rapper than singer stick to what you’re good at.

Dominique McLaughlin– A big song to take on, perhaps too big although hit the big note at the end. So young and so much talent!

Eleanor Kane– Nervy start. Guitar playing very basic needs to be more expansive. Nice mash-up though! Keep writing.

Emily Middlemass– Star quality in abundance. Would have liked to have heard her own stamp on the song though.

Daniel Crawford– An Americanised performance. Good voice but put your own interpretation on it. This boy could be a favourite with the girls.

Singing Opportunity Glasgow – Further Feedback

Fionne McQue– Huge voice won over all the audience not just her own fans. Showed nerves at first but showed great ability.

Kathryn Ronney– Nice original spin on the song. Would have liked to have seen her with a guitarist rather than a backing track. Felt there was more to her that we didn’t get to see.

Rebecca Robertson– Great rapping but lost key into the singing. Could have chosen a song that extended her voice more.

Paul Clarke– Great big smile which was great to see. Big voice, big personality, lots of star quality. Smashed it! Go for a more edgy image next round. This guy could go far.

Paige – Great image and a big voice. Missed a couple of notes slightly if I’m being picky. Great voice and she uses facial expressions well

Rachel Patrick– Very pleasant performance but hard to stand out in a crowd with the song choice can only ever be pleasant rather than dynamic. Not the best song to show off a plethora of skills.

Katie O’Neil– Very much an overdone song. But well performed good guitar playing. Need to smile and look like you’re enjoying yourself.

Roselyn Mutongerwa– Looks great and sings well and she has her own style. Just not the best song it’s a bit overdone. Dodgy start but she pulled it back.

Train of Thought– Nowhere near as good as in audition I’m afraid. Nervous at the start and a lack of melodies. I like these girls a lot but not at their best today. Not enough harmonies.

Cara Stewart– Develop your own style don’t sing it with Gaga’s accent. American accent in the 2ndsong too. Liked the change in tempo though. Great finish! Work on stage presence.

Saskia– Great potential for the future. Cute factor but needs to develop her voice. I think we’ll see this girl in the future. Has the potential to do well with correct training.
