Glasgow Music Contests- Results from the Regional Final!
Glasgow music contests, such as Open Mic UK, have discovered best unsigned singers in the region.
The Glasgow regional finals for 2011 were held on Saturday 24th September at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The Regional final brought together the best unsigned singers from Glasgow and the surrounding areas all competing in a bid to make it to the Area Finals in December. The competition was fierce, and the standard was extremely high, well done to all the singers for putting on a great show!
With so much talent it was difficult to make the decisions, but well done to the following acts who will be performing at the Area Final on 4th December 2011. There is one more place up for grabs in the Area Final which the remaining acts from Glasgow can now compete for. The wildcard vote is now open and footage for the acts can be seen on MUZU, so get voting for your favourite to help them win that final spot!
The guest act for the day was Lucy Spraggan, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of her upbeat and original music.

As well as places in the area final, there were exposure awards for publicity up for grabs, and the prizes were £250 worth of recording studio time with Open mic UK Glasgow studio partners Riverside Music Complex.
