Singing Opportunities Glasgow Feedback – 17-22 age category
Jordyn Hutchinson – Accompanying guitar would have added something. Nervy vocal start (understandable being on first). Individuality in her voice came through mid-song. Original spin on the song.
Francesca Blin – A big song to take on a bit boring in parts until it got going. Vocals were sensitive where required.
Kai – A bit of a boring version of Kings of Leon. Should have changed tempo for 2nd song to spice it up and show another side to him. Original song better than the cover.
Carrie O’Neill – Good original voice and love the song choice. A great song to strip down. Missed a few notes and flat in place though. Decent voice but lacking a spark.
Alan Parker – Perfect vocal. Would like to see more stage performance. Soulful and emotional.
Anna Sweeney – Nice voice would like more engagement with the audience. Vocals very good. Missed one or two notes but there’s potential there. Make more eye contact with the audience.
Andrew Bunton – Good original style but not always in control. Musicians reading from sheets didn’t look the most professional. Good voice though.
Sinead McKenna – A felt a bit karaoke she’s a nice singer but didn’t like the backing track. Struggled to keep in key at times but otherwise a good performance.
John Irvine – Great recording voice. Looks the part too. Great performance and good originality.
Singing Opportunities Glasgow – Further Feedback
Emma T – Missed a few notes. Not the most entertaining of songs. Work the stage more. Nerves perhaps got the better of you.
Morgan McKinnon – Nice voice but not a stand out performance. Not the song for you it needs power and sensitivity.
Jake McGarry – First performer to really involve the audience. Very entertaining. Good cover choice. Loads of energy!
Miss MC – Not a great image being cultivated. Rapping not as tight as it could be. Flat performance needed something to lift it.
Nicolle Gregory – Try and bring a more edgy image to the stage to stand out. Work the stage more. Overcame nerves to put in a good performance.
Sarah Adams – Loved the tempo change really brought the performance to life. Nice audience involvement.
Shakira- Try to develop ways of disguising nerves and put on a brave face. Look like you’re enjoying yourself. Need to engage with the audience.
Yasmin Bell – Needs more expansive guitar playing to take it to another level. A simple song sung simply.
Sara McIvor – The song suited her voice perfectly but needed to put her own stamp on it. That said she nailed a huge tune which is testament. Good interpretation of the song.
Morgan Cox – Huuuuge voice. Felt the song lots of emotion in there. Good choice of song and well delivered.
The guest act for the day was Lucy Spraggan, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of her upbeat and original music.
