Unsigned Music Brighton- Feedback for 17-22 Category
Brieanne Oakley-Ives – A weak start, but got going after a minute or so, need to nail it from the start. Good vocal control once she got going with some nice vocal flicks. Good use of stage and good confidence.
Connor McPhail – Nice tone to his voice and good potential, but accapella is just missing a dimension, not sure why you’d do it accapella when you have the opportunity to show a song off to a higher potential? Vocals were a little shaky half way through the performance.
Angela Ricci – Very silky performance with powerful vocals with just a couple of high notes missed being the only blip. Great stage presence and really good potential as a recording artist.
Alice Ella – Nice original song, vocally sounds classically trained has a twang too it which is noticeable. Very nice look, very marketable as an artist, one to watch.
Bryony Brooke – For someone who was touch and go to perform wouldn’t have noticed, you have great ability and gave a very accomplished performance. The performance got better towards the end, need to make sure you nail it right from the start.
Emma Fleming – Pretty sure mentioned in audition feedback to sing a contemporary song, beautifully sung but needs to bring herself up to date as an act and just round off the end of lines.
Unsigned Music Brighton - Further Feedback
Lulabelle – Great style and image, and made a purse from a pig’s ear with the song choice, original and amazing! Very unique look and powerful vocals.
Chantee – Great stage presence. Big voice liked the rhodes key playing. Need to work on an image and no shoes? Work on that as you have a great sounding voice. Be careful, as vocals dipped in a few places.
Carla Agius – Right idea needed a bit more careful editing to take out dull moments didn’t need so many tracks either. Dancers worked really well Carla needed to do more of a routine with them so she’ll need to get fit!
Elcie – Think a different song choice would have worked in favour more. Vocal control could have been better seemed like Elcie was forcing the vocal too much, embrace the softer tones of the song more.
Melanie De Haviland – Just needs to put a stronger stamp on the tracks to make it more her own. Great start forgot line at one point but recovered well more focus and she will do well.
Kane and Dan – Nice vocal didn’t quite synch at times with the guitar playing. Good expression would have left the backing vocals, came in too late in the performance and would work on the harmonies.
Nicole Moattarian – Looks great and a lovely voice but struggled in the lower section of the track shaky down there, work on that a will be awesome as has beautiful ability and control.
Grace Vincent – Sounded nice but needed more energy too pedestrian and needed to be more interesting.
Sam White – Looked terrific, lovely voice but why sing such an old song which was too high for her? Strengthen voice and watch pitching and mic control which with the right choice would really work.
Stewart Barker – Came across very nervy, needed more energy and dynamics.
Nee-Cee – Different Amy Winehouse song to sing, very sultra with some silky vocals. Owned the stage with an enjoyable performance.
The guest act for the day was Flow Dem, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of their upbeat and original music.
