Unsigned Music Cardiff – Feedback for 23 and over category singers

Andrew Yerbury- Lively opening from a confident performer with good audience participation.  Would like to see a wider repertoire…………….

Evette Hammond- Pleasant vocals and some clear talent here but delivery was affected by nerves which detracted overall. Try to engage more with the audience.  Much potential.

Jo Johnson- Lovely vocal tone! Very original and looked relaxed and in control.  Liked the guitar work which did not detract – a stronger act in this category.

Clarkstein- Raw entertainment! Liked the general style and approach which would not work for everyone but worked for you…! A very individual and personal delivery…

Chris John- Good stage presence. Good support. Nice Segway. Be careful not to lean towards a karaoke performance though.

Alex Woburn- Liked the first delivery – good interplay with guitar. A memorable performer but will not be everybody’s cup of tea. Do you need the glitter? Your character is glittery enough

Ben and Jason- Good song choices contrasting nicely. Split the judges but likeable and could sell overall. Should go through.

Lila- Confident, good image and nice original style. Need however to control your vocals (support) and breathing technique.

Unsigned Music Cardiff – Further Feedback

Camello- I think it is retro night tonight! – the image is not new but might just work for you. Not sure it works with the style of music though. Possibly think about revising one or the other.

James Clode- Give some attention to lower register tonal quality but mostly solid performance overall. We think you need to believe in yourself more and take some image guidance but definitely one with potential.

John Adams- Very good John – clearly considered image (but not sure it will work for everyone)…good luck in the next round.

Kelly Bossano- Likeable easy listening and a good vocal delivery. Now focus on performance and engaging the audience.

Mitchell Minney- Nice rhythm on the guitar but not all notes fully defined – be careful with this, otherwise a good, honest performance. Clearly musical.

Dean Jones- Confident, nice tone and vocals suit the style of his chosen genre. Good attention to image also.

Cora Matthews- Commercial image (Shania Twain esque) but timing issues need some fixing. Great colour and voice control.

The guest act for the day was Hatty Keane, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of her upbeat and original music.
