Unsigned Musicians Hayes Feedback – 16 and under category

Leonie McDonald – Lovely keyboard playing really crisp, which helped Leonie structure her timing. Passionate song, remember to give attention to all notes not just the high ones.

Ria Stanislaus – Nice voice remember to use the stage and watch your timing as sometimes coming in too early and late on other occasions. Control the nerves as you are rushing and at times a whole bar ahead. Look at image also.

Veronica Sagyaman - Liked the expression but take care with pitch, song choice could have been more realistic as song too big!

Kidazstik – Liked the originality which flowed well and was entertaining.  Cover was adapted well and got the audience on side quickly in a natural way.

Lydia Singer – Looked fantastic, vocals at times were shaky, again song is a big ask and maybe something more comfortable in a range would have been a better call. Try not to push too hard singing lower notes.

Imani Williams – A confident performance with strong vocals perhaps a song more current would be better next time. Well controlled and good attitude in delivery.

Adrian Bevan -   Good song choice, but needed a bit more passion and expression which will come with more practice.  Good image and presence which was on the money.

Brady – Nicely sung and in time this girl could really develop into something special. Not sure about the show number for this competition, but great for musical theatre.

Dolly Renner – Lovely tone to her voice, watch timing, a little jumping into the note and pitch on occasions.

Ellie – A strong start, but ended up being flat for large periods of the song. Need to be pitch perfect.  One Judge recommended Celine Dion would really suit your vocal.

Francesca Harris – Well thought out song choice, expression was good just be careful not to over push the vocal.

Georgia Cahill – Use the stage Georgia, more practice required as appeared too soon for her to be on such a big stage.

Unsigned Musicians Hayes- Further Feedback

Jay Heyman – Great ability for his age, loads of confidence, but wouldn’t do a song a cappella.

Keziah - Hopefully she’ll take a lot from the experience but could hear the nerves taking over the voice, need to control that for next time. Performance was confident and showed lots of potential.

Lara Sweeney – Good to see singing and playing but don’t sacrifice playing guitar for losing concentration on mic control and expression, as the guitar work seemed to take the attention away from that. Guitar was out of tune.

L Dot Star – Good engagement, good use of the stage and performance. Song had good beat and was enjoyable. Bit more image and swagger on stage required to improve.

Lydia Gerrard – Song choice why Adele? Katie Perry would be a far wiser choice. Song was too big and as a result you start to sing the high notes out of tune.

Myles Westman – Needed more dynamics it was all on one level, and when moved into the higher register he suffered with tuning problems.

Nakira – Came on stage with a bit of style and nailed the high notes, but give the same attention to all the notes not just the high ones. Look to work on ad libs and delivery.

Navreen Sehmi - Could have played around with it a little more had space in the song to express yourself more which is what it needed.

Olabisi – Nice vocal but song choice both dated and not contemporary. Good for theatre. Move with more purpose around the stage.

Rosie Pennie – Good expression and a comfortable song choice. One of the strongest singers we’ve seen today.

Michael Honnah – Needed more performance and dynamic perhaps standing would allow and for more performance.

Stephanie Tuitt – Song choice has been mentioned a few times as being vital as is singing in tune on stage, as this song was too low for you. Has time on her side and with determination I’m sure she will develop.

Tacita – Was very intense but was it nerves that were just overbearing. Try to find ways to get around it affecting you so much.

Rebecca Daniel – Seriously leave the Adele’s. Putting and asking way too much of yourself! Work on energy and performance.

Samantha-Jayne Banful – She looks like she means these vocals, great expression! Just watch the mic control...but other than that she smashed it.

The guest act for the day was FDot1, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of his upbeat and original hip hop.
