Music Contests Manchester-Results from Regional Final!
Music contests Manchester, such as Open Mic UK,have discovered the best unsigned singers in the region.
The Manchester 2011 regional finals of the music contest were held on Sunday 16th October at The Willows. The Regional final brought together the best unsigned singers from Manchester and the surrounding areas all competing in a bid to make it to the Area Finals in December. The competition was fierce, and the standard was extremely high, well done to all the singers for putting on a great show!
With so much talent there were difficult decisions to be made by the judges, but well done to the following acts who will be performing at the Area Final on 4th December 2011. There is one more place up for grabs in the Area Final which the remaining acts from Manchester can now compete for. The wildcard vote is now open and footage for the acts can be seen on MUZU, so get voting for your favourite to help them win that final spot!
The guest act for the day was Open Mic UK 2010 under 18’s winner Hatty Keane, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of her urban and original music.

As well as places in the area final, there were exposure awards for publicity up for grabs, and the prizes were £250 worth of recording studio time with Open mic UK Manchester studio partners LP Studios.
