Singing Opportunities South Yorkshire – Industry Feedback For 23 and Over Category Singers
Gary Kean - Wasn’t sure of the song choices as didn’t let us know beforehand. Needed to stand out more as has a lovely vocal and skills.
Elliot Long – A strong performance but very difficult to express himself over and on such an over played and popular song choice. Needed to be a bit creative with it to show his personality.
Kathryn Pemberton – A good vocal and accomplished performance but be careful not to stray into touching into the territory of a holiday camp performance.
Bash – What a fantastic performance! So much better sticking to just the keys rather than swapping instruments which was messy. Would have been good to maybe lead into an original song after setting it up so well.
Brian Close – Open your eyes more to engage with your audience. Vocal a little shouty try to embrace the softer tone of the song as well.
Dr No – Remember where you audience are? Original song became a ramble, where’s the hook?
Sam Oliver – Watch the key and try and perform with expression in the song down time. But good passion and dynamics.
Singing Opportunities South Yorkshire – Further Feedback
J C Dolmor – Song started well but started to lose the interest. Violin playing was both sensual and engaging.
Yannik – Got the image and ability but next time get some dancers and work out a cool routine. Where’s the substitute chorus/hook?
Maxx – The song has potential but seems to lack structure and dynamic.
Kristian Eastwood – Liked the original had a defining hook lacking in a number of performances tonight. Vocals where clear and crisp.
Rebacca Forrest – She had a good go with the song but on the whole it was just a little too big. Worked the stage well and clearly connected with the song.
The guest act for the day was Lucy Spraggan who gave the crowds great performances of her original music.
