Music Contests Bedfordshire Feedback for the 17-22 age category
Charles Katedza – Work the stage more and get some audience involvement. Watch the higher notes. Good stage presence but pitchy in places. No cover song to get the audience up.
Claudine Burke – Very difficult song to approach and the vocals weren’t quite there. You looked lovely but seemed to be so nervous. You could have let go more.
Lois Johnson – Amazing song and a wonderful voice. I love your style and you are a great songwriter. A committed performance and nice individuality.
Natasha Masih – Needs more stage presence. Good song choice but watch tuning at times. Vocal needs more dynamic. Use the stage more and perform more to build confidence.
Sam Anderton & Emma Crowther – Great original song. At times you were like two individuals you need to work on getting chemistry across from the word go.
Tierney Cowap –Should have gone for a song with more impact. Work on your scale. You have the voice just make sure you watch the bottom notes and work on your performance
Emily Rice – Tempo very wild. Voice came more into its own on the cover choice. You have loads of potential but need more stage experience which will come.
Adenike – Nice idea to bring backing singers but it actually let the performance down. Harmonies needed to be spot on. Could be great as a group with more practice.
Chris K – What an entertainer! Loved your style. You have the potential to make this a career. Great cover choice and a decent original. Interact with the audience more as they loved it.
Hustle & Sparkle – Brilliant! Totally entertaining and very skillful. Good stage use and a great cover choice. Better backing track needed. Work on rhythm.
Jake Morell - Good guitar and nice vocals. I’d like to see you fronting a band. Good original song and a stunning voice. Distinctive commercial voice.
Jane Mungai – Very tough song to sing. Pick a song that really shows off your voice. Keep going and good luck. With training you could really go somewhere.
Music Contests Bedfordshire – Further Feedback
Tredz – Good performance. Very confident keep doing what you are doing. Generally not a tight enough performance. Don’t push the London urban accent too much.
K-Rose –Never stop the performance and ask to start again. Be prepared and work through any problems. It was a shame this happened you have potential.
Leanne Scrivens – Beautiful voice, but I’d have liked to have heard something more original. You need to watch your belt notes, they’re a bit shouty. Good performance.
Matt Goalen – Soulful voice but needed to hear a bit more individuality though. Good conviction in the performance but needs more projection and control.
3Style –Good presence on stage. Fun performance on your vocal pitching though. Such style and charisma. Loved you guys but watch your tuning.
Ashleigh Askew - Absolutely brilliant performance. Recovered well from an early mistake. Superb voice, the moves, confidence and cute factor. Can go far.
The guest act for the day was Hatty Keane, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances.
