Singing competition in Surrey and North Hampshire, such as the Open Mic UK singing competition,have discovered the best unsigned singers in the region.

The Aldershot 2011 Regional Finals of the singing competition were held on Sunday 30th October at The Princes Hall in Aldershot. The Regional final brought together the best unsigned singers from Surrey and North Hampshire all competing in a bid to make it to the Area Finals in November. The competition was fierce, and the standard was extremely high, well done to all the singers for putting on a great show!

With so much talent it was difficult to make the decisions, but well done to the following acts who have progressed to the Area Final on 27^th November 2011. Footage of the winners below is viewable on the Open Mic UK MUZU channel.

There is one more place up for grabs in the Area Final which the remaining acts from Aldershot can now compete for. The wildcard vote is now open and footage for the acts can be seen on MUZU, so get voting for your favourite to help them win that final spot!

The guest act for the day was Danica Hunter, who treated the crowds to brilliant performances of her upbeat and original music.

As well as places in the Area Final, there were exposure awards for publicity up for grabs, and the prizes were £250 worth of recording studio time with Open mic UK regional studio partners Anton Road Studio. Well done to all acts who gave some good publicity for themselves and especially well done to the following who have won themselves studio time as the exposure award winners.

The winning acts from the Aldershot Regional Final showcase will now be performing at the Area Final against the winners from both Brighton and Portsmouth on 27^thNovember in Portsmouth. Come along and see the best unsigned talent from across the UK!

All acts are competing to make it to the Grand Final at The O2 on January 21^st2012.
