Unsigned Music Aldershot near Guildford– Feedback for 16 and under category singers

Jack Mason – Shaky in places but just learn to have confidence in your own ability, relax and grow.

Kiah Whitehead– Song suited the vocal just watch timing of the deliver as you have a strong voice. Remember performance is right until the end, looked a little awkward for end instrumental just standing there.

Dion Hunter- Connected with the song well could have conveyed that passion in the performance more, work on engaging. Bit pitchy in places, nailed it in others. If you let us know the song choice ahead of the show it would have avoided the same song being done twice in a row.

Amber Louise– Illustrating the point to select a song not so obvious, would have suited to pick a song a little faster, higher in range and less obvious. Amber has a lovely voice and again Amber felt the emotion of the song which is often hard for acts to do. Use your arms more and with purpose when performing.

Tarun Shah– Came in early and got the lyrics all mixed up which heavy practice should have avoided this happening, perhaps  nerves? but nevertheless needs to be addressed.   Nice tone to his voice but needs to get tuning spot on to progress.

Elliott Venables– A nice voice but one that needs developing to have greater power and depth.

Sarah Jamina– She did well with the song but wasn’t totally comfortable with it as it was too big and you could see her jumping into sections knowing it required more impact rather than being more seem less. If she was more comfortable with the song Sarah could have worked on conveying more emotion as she has a unique voice demonstrating some impressive notes.

Anya Draycott– Beautiful vocal and piano dynamics with a nice original. Find ways to engage with the audience use your eyes to achieve this.

Grace Evans– Masses of star quality. Image was in synch with the music which was good.  Good vocal, but poor finish vocally to an overall strong performance.

Unsigned Music Aldershot near Guildford – Further Feedback

Holly Stanford– Lacked dynamics, the guitar sounded very monotonous so look to work on that to improve her obvious talent.

Rachel Stovold– Not so sure image has been thought about here, a beautiful voice but need to add to that ability by improving on performance and image.

Heather– Liked the idea with the signing to the original, added passion, perhaps have the interpreter step back just one or two spaces as was sometimes taking away from Heather so a balance to be struck. The Judges were hugely impressed with her press pack.

Bittersweet– Original was good but was untidy in places choreography was well thought through but not always executed exactly the same with the vocals with different vocal abilities within the group. Rapping bit was good but needs to be a bit less obvious.

Lauren Thalia– For just 11 this girl has huge potential, good cover song choice could have bounced around the stage and showed more of her personality that seemed ready to burst out even more!

Tasha Hutt– Perform and act it out more, it seemed more concentration on the vocal than the performance. One of the strongest images of the day.

Lucy Bourne– Guitar sounded a little abrasive at times.

Siana– Image was strong and had a lovely rich voice and a perfectly suited song as she connected with it. Would have been nice to see her throw herself just that 5% more into the song and performance.

Lucy Walters– Liked the idea of merging the songs, would consider the pianist being on stage and starting before Lucy enters, pianist seemed a little heavy handed which made it difficult to embrace the lighter tones of the song.

Rosie Laver– One of the strongest vocals of the day but don’t over emphasise the powerful sections at the detriment of the softer emotional sections. Try to improve diction on lower voice.

Miranda Harding– Well done after a nervy start, however slow down and watch mic control which did improve after the initial looking away from the mic.

Megan Flint– Fantastic voice with some good adlibs giving it a unique edge just need to express more act the emotions as it wasn’t evident enough.

Nadia Yasmin– Original was much better conveyed than the cover which seemed to slow the flow and captivation built by the original.

Matt Maltese– What an unbelievable original really engaging and catchy. This guy seems very comfortable. Not sure about the transition, would have stuck to keys that portray the emotion of songs better.

Joe Emmett– Lovely tone to his voice, less attention to the notes you’re playing and more on performance will improve Joe as act.

Aaran and Milo– Another great original song with some lovely harmonies. Just work on the interaction between you to give more chemistry. Possibly look to use more of the dynamics from the guitars to work with the vocals but not at the risk of over complicating just make subtle adjustments.
