Singers wanted in Yorkshire- Feedback for the 16 and unders age category
Evie Plumb– Really nice edge to her voice. Great choice of cover. A very soulful, catchy original. Well performed to the audience and very engaging with good eye contact. Be careful on the bigger notes.
Tres Belle– Voices will develop in time. Good stage performance with all trying to engage the audience and good interaction between act members, but needed to be front stage more often. Liked the song choice.
Charlotte Branson– Very strong vocally with not one fault, and engaged well with the audience. A little static on stage so work on using the space more.
Angel– Loved the choice of songs and the versatility you showed. Would have been even better if you’d incorporated more up-to-date songs too. A great voice for such a young age.
Anya Lily– Safe song choice. Watch those low notes, and work on engaging the audience with more eye contact. Very glamorous look, but would have liked to have see more edge and more of a stage performance. On the whole very good though, well done.
Beth Barlow– Image is all a bit casual. A really different voice. Song sung nicely with good emotions shown although would have liked to have seen a more exciting song choice. Watch the pitching on the higher notes. A lot of potential.
Emily– Very strong voice – One of the strongest vocals of the day! A great song choice but take care not to over perform the song with your facial expressions. Lost it vocally slightly in the biggest part of the song, but otherwise no faults!
Singers wanted in Yorkshire – Further feedback
Molly Scott– Cute factor in abundance. You looked angelic! Your voice will develop in time but work on your scale. You showed great confidence - well done for working the stage and engaging the audience. So much potential.
Sherry-Lea– Good song to choose if you can hit the big ones. Off key in places – watch the pitch on high notes. Initially a little bit static. Well done for putting your own arrangement on it.
Arisxandra Libantino– What a big voice from one so small. Lived up to expectations with a huge vocal. Only one criticism - you could have used the stage more. A very impressive performance, you were born to sing.
Chloe Dent– Well controlled, well developed vocals. You dealt with the tempo change well but needed to put in more performance to engage the crowd for such a big show. Stunning dress.
Ebonie Preston– Good cover choice - it told us a lot about your personality, but try to play with dynamics more. Brave to do an original but applause for that. Needed a stronger hook though. Your spirit and intensity was great – you’ve got soul!
Imani– Stunning image. A fantastic voice, but work on those low notes. Slight problem with timings throughout. Rehearse, rehearse ,rehearse. Work the stage more to engage the crowd.
Immy Williams– Great look. Very individual and edgy. Nice to hear an original but as much as I like the cover song, I would have preferred something more contemporary.
Zenani– You have a great image and really look the part. First song felt a bit safe and tame. Second song was amazing and really unleashed your voice. Great that you picked up the tempo. Come to the front of the stage more.
Elizabeth Whitehead– A great, strong voice with a nice tone, but vocals need to be a little more consistent as there were some tuning issues and you didn’t quite hit the big notes. Perhaps choose a less challenging song that showcases the strengths in your vocal.
Isi Dee– Watch that American accent, be yourself! Nice quirky look. Great original song - keep writing. Well done for showing your originality in terms of your own material.
Leanne Fotheringham- Great versatility. Well put together and well performed mash-up. Image very individual, and you showed a lot of confidence.
Amelia Mara- You have a very powerful vocal. Good first song choice but felt more theatrical than fun. Well acted out second song. Try to smile a little more. This is clearly where your future will be so keep doing it!
Alice Gakhar– You picked an impact song but it lacked punch. Well dressed. Well done for working the crowd – very entertaining.
Kathryn Dowson– Good to see two sides to you and a good, strong original with great lyrics. You worked the stage well but you need more work vocally, especially pitching.
Jade Wilkinson– Felt the emotion of the song. A great voice with a beautiful timbre, but you strained for some of the notes. Work on maintaining the power during the higher notes. Signs of nerves there. Perhaps the wrong song to suit her voice.
Nancy Petulengro– Great individuality. Unique. Great choice of songs for your style and you delivered. Love the hat! This girl could bring the accordion into mainstream music!
Vicky Turner– Glamourous, but work on adding more edge to your image. Well done for working the stage and taking the mic off. Need to act out the big notes by doing more with facial expressions.
Rebecca Molloy– A strong voice confidently delivered. The vocal was a little flat in places, so work on your pitching. Great big note at the end - well done.
Lily Brooke Widdowson– Haunting voice with a great delivery. Great playing. Nice to hear a stripped down version of Teenage Dirtbag. Engaged well with the crowd through lots of eye contact.
The Peppermints – Voices need to develop which’ll come naturally. A well rehearsed act with nice harmonies. Image needs more coordination. Great interaction with the audience – keep it up!
The guest act for the day was Hatty Keane, who treated the crowds to her brilliant trademark performances.
