Pete Cunnah confirmed to judge unsigned music competition Open Mic UK 2012 Grand Final
Singer-songwriter Pete Cunnah has been confirmed to judge unsigned music competition Open Mic UK’s 2012 Grand Final! Pete Cunnah is best known as being lead singer and songwriter with 1990’s UK dance pop band D:Ream, and is now confirmed to judge Open Mic UK's 2012 Grand Final! He was the writer, producer and singer of all D:Reams’ catalogue, including the multiplatinum number 1 single ‘Things Can Only Get Better’, which was also chosen by New Labour as their 1997 election campaign song. As an artist and producer Pete has sold in excess of 3 millions records including 12 top 40 singles, and two top 5 albums, and will make a valuable addition to the judging panel now he has been confirmed to judge the unsigned music competition Open Mic UK 2012 Grand Final.

Pete, confirmed to judge the Open Mic UK 2012 Grand Final, has written, produced and remixed for various major label acts including Duran Duran, Debbie Harry, Melanie Williams, Steps, Allstars, The Honeyz and A1, to name a few.Amongst his many accolades he has receiveda "Brit" nomination for "Best Song" and the Hot Press 1st prize for "Best Dance Act". Amongst other things, Pete’s been a presenter on Top Of The Pops, an Ivor Novelo judge and currently represents his home town of Derry in Northern Ireland as an ambassador for its place as the European City of Culture, and is now confirmed to judge the Open Mic UK 2012 Grand Final.
Pete has also helped compose music for the Japaneese Anime "Inuyasha", Rocket Movies "Women Talking Dirty", and more recently the Theme Tune to ITV'S hit series "Party Wars". Peter continues to be a writer producer and singer today. He sang lead vocals on Chicane's 2003 single "Love on the Run" and has recently teamed back up with DJ Al Mackenzie for his third D:Ream studio album "In Memory Of..." (Fulfill Records) accompanied by a full UK tour that culminated in their recent headliner at Bug Jam.
