Sophia - Technically secure in many aspects, but accumulated slips on this occasion. (e.g. a bit pitchy). Click here for more on singing teachers Keep up the training and gain more experience to manage nerves! Click here for advice on how to calm nerves. Have a think about image too, Click here for the importance of image for an act, plus try to engage with the audience a bit more. You sang with some conviction, and there is promise, but not quite ready for the bigger stage.

Caitline - Very confident, big voice and you took your opportunity well! Balance in the line was not always fully maintained and continuity slipped in a small number of places, Click here for how to prepare for an audition; but you did well to keep fluency and pitch accuracy overall. Good audition though, you sang with authority. Good luck in the next round. Every time you perform, perform like you are on stage click here for the importance of performance.

Scarlett - Good vocal, tasteful expression in places, powerful voice. At best there were strong aspects at this age and stage. Good projection and presence too, now aim for greater engagement and confidence which will come with experience. Click here for how to sing with confidence. Watch lower range, and pulse / structure in the unreferenced parts). Click here for more on vocal dynamics.

Olivia - Good control of pulse, rhythmically consistent, established use of phrasing. Secure intervallic movement and dynamic shaping. Very good consistency of tone, and also colouring of sustained notes. click here for the importance of performance. Some body language added character, although try to develop this. Good audition.

Ruth - Great vocal dynamics, looked good, lots of personality and character, and whilst you made an error, you came back strong! You need to focus on consistency of intonation, Click here for more on how improve your vocal performance definitely not a perfect audition, but good potential and good puck in the next round. Click here for more on vocal dynamics.

It will be interesting to see how this develops. Click here for the importance of image for an act

Harrison - You owned the stage Harrison! Great composure and stage presence. Click here for the importance of performance. Loved the vocal tone too, plus image worked for you. Interest was sustained acapella, with good sense of pulse and phrasing in the more challenging parts. Good control of lower range and beginnings of a clear stylistic identity. Well done. Click here for more on branding.

Molly - Very modern voice, confident in higher range. Strong vocal, comfortably consistent in balance and tone control. Aim for greater expression and sense of individuality! Click here for the importance of performance. We could sense some nerves holding back personality even at this early stage. Click here for advice on how to calm nerves. Try and find your style also whilst you are developing your technical foundation.

Chloe - Even though you forgot the words very briefly (this caused a continuity slip) Click here for more on singing with confidence, you did well to carry on and the acapella was in the main very good. There is still work to do and greater expression would benefit, but a comfortable delivery overall. Well done. Click here for more on singing with experssion.

Vlera - Despite your nerves, you settled in composure and did well to perform to the extent you did. Click here for advice on how to calm nerves. There were some inconsistencies, e.g. intonation misalignments between sections, but at best the voice was strong and tonal quality was mainly held. Try to maintain pitch accuracy and sing with greater confidence overall. Click here for the importance of performance. Good potential, one to watch with more experience.

Macy - Very good technical and expressive communication. Not all sustained notes maintained full tonal control, but clear musicality, ability, performance characteristics and a good range too. Click here for more on vocal dynamics. Upper mid rage impressive, with delicate vibrato adding sensitivity. Liverpool Music Competition 16-20's feedback

Jess - Strong image, nice vocal tone with dynamic shaping and control of finer detail. Good communication in delivery too. Overall, great attempt acapella, strong projection and consistency of tone. Click here for the importance of performance. Some stylistic direction too. Think about song choice, but good potential here – one to watch. Click here for the importance of song choice

London - Great name (and reason for name!). Nice blending to harmonies, lovely tones, tempo and relationship between you was (mainly) strong too Click here for more on performing as a vocal group. I can see a potentially commercial act here with a greater sense of chemistry. Very good work today, you nailed this audition. Good luck in the next round. Click here for more on stage performance.

Mikhail - Very good male act! Easy listening, popular voice. Good dynamics. Yours is a saturated market, but you have something that might just stand out. Personality, voice, range and expression all on display. Great original too. Click here for more on branding. Give thought to image in the regional final and moving forward generally but definitely one to keep an eye on. Click here for more on creating the right image.

Jack - Try to avoid long introductions in a short audition, but strong distinctive original and liked the style of communication. Click here for tips on how to prepare for an audition. It worked but remember to engage with your audience at the same time. Click here for the importance of performance. A bit remote today. Click here for more on connecting with your audience. We thought you were good and worthy of the next round. Unanimous decision!

Angel - This piece needed a while to get going, (nerves detracted here?) Click here for advice on how to calm nerves but once settled it was obvious you have a good awareness of pitch, phrasing and musical outcomes. Dynamically a bit narrow and expression would help personalise the song. Click here for tips on how to improve vocal range. Needs a greater sense of performance too. Promise evident, needs more work and greater confidence. overall Click here for how to sing with confidence.

Carla - Immediately impacting, good sense of body language, but be confident to engage more with the audience, a bit too distant! click here for the importance of performance. Technically strong with individual articulation. Not sure about song choice - didn't really impress in that sense, but we all feel there is something to you which needs to be shared on a bigger stage. Click here for the importance of song choice and click here for more on the importance of songwriting. Good luck in the next round.

Over 21's Liverpool Audition Feedback

Bart - Good voice, if lacking a little power. Click here for tips on how to improve vocal range. More expression needed too. Be confident to act out the emotion of the song more. Click here for more on expressing the emotion of the song. This said, mood and sense of occasion was established, and you were technically secure, if a little held back. Good audition overall, good luck in the next round.

Conrad - Lovely voice and control of tone at different dynamic levels. Secure techniques in upper mid-range – well done here. A degree of personality coming through, although you needed to settle after a hesitant opening. Click here for more on how to calm nerves. Try to establish the sense of assurance your performance deserves from the very outset. (Long intro didn’t work). Click here for the importance of song choice, well done though.

Hannah - Unsteady opening which settled. Click here for how to sing with confidence. Borderline audition, as not sure acappella did you justice in truth. You were also a little uncertain, in turn losing conviction and precision in places. Click here for how to prepare for an audition. This said, we do think you have something, and as general advice more acapella / audition showcasing experience will benefit. Give thought also to the benefit of singing to track or accompaniment (musical reference) Click here for the importance of song choice.

Monika - Aspects of this audition were good, e.g. nice vocal, clear communication, finer detailing, but the voice needs more power and strengthening in higher range. Click here for more on vocal projection. We needed to be convinced you were ready for the bigger stage, and whilst technical elements were in part convincing, overall assurance and use of stylistic identity was not as strong. Click here for the importance of performance.

James - There is promise here, e.g. good timing, phrasing and use of rhythms, but not a strong presence in truth. Needs more engagement and the lyrics, Click here for more on expressing the emotion of the song. Whilst they will not work for everyone, they were in alignment with your identity. Click here for more on connecting with your audience. Keep going and refine your work. Aim for greater stage craft and sense of performance too.

Ash - You are good at what you do Ash. In order to compete you will need a stronger consideration to image and identity, Click here for more on branding but good musically. Great vocal, musical use of dynamics. Liked the original too. Have a think about how you can engage more with your audience. Click here for more on connecting with your audience but good to go through to the next round.

Lamount - You did well to audition acapella after the CD difficulty. Click here for more on backing tracks , there was some promise in the delivery too. You do have a sense of image and stylistic direction, and there will be a market for you. Click here for more on branding. Vocally consistent and balanced in the main, reasonable presence and sense of communication. Keep going!
