Kaiya Lyons – Try and relax you seemed very conscious of everything going on in the room rather than committing to the performance. Click here for tips on how to perform visually.

Matthew Hickman – Performance is strong but maybe work on bringing a focus to the eyes. Click here for tips on how to enhance your performance

Georgia Giles – Strong delivery. It was good to see you making the song your own, for more on performing creative covers click here.

Richard Jones – Excellent vocal control. Lovely sound with your guitar and a good sentiment to your lyrics. You’ve got bags of potential and delivered a great audition.

Frankie Suffel – Try not to rush and maintain timing, a good vocal tutor will help assist to improve your projection and control click here for more information on what improvements can be made with singing lessons.

Emma Carter – Lovely performance. Good vocal control.

Harry George – Very good performance. Try to look at your audience, click here for tips on how to perform visually.

Melanie Tomlinson – Lovely tone to your lower register. Very good performance.

Yasmin Taylor-Haroun – Lacked a little ‘swing’ that the original version of this song has, click here for tips on performing a creative cover

Ewan Pollock – Convincing vocal, well done! Distinctive style.

Tom & Josh – A total performance- excellent! Very engaging backed up with some soulful lyrics. Well performed together as an act.

Ryan Gazir – Your voice is unique and your vocal technique is interesting. Hopefully when it comes to the shows you’ll perform your own material and it’d be great to see. Click here for tips on how to write songs.

Darcy Pool – Performance would have benefitted from more vocal dynamics.

Bella Estrella – Left me wanting more! A good connection between performers and well worked harmonies. You’ve got a likeable chemistry.

Joe Bell – Shame the guitar string snapped on the guitar work which somewhat let down a good performance. Make sure you tune your instrument before the audition to avoid performing with an out of tune guitar.

Laura Dunn - Always consider selecting a less popular song otherwise run the risk of someone else doing the same song, click here for the importance of song choice. Also you are also going to struggle to compete with Amy Winehouse unless you really make it different which you didn’t, for tips on performing a creative cover, click here

Katie Hallam – Excellent audition with a distinctive voice. Good potential but need to engage with your audience, which will be improved by looking up and giving eye contact, click here for tips on performing visually.

Click here for the importance of song choice.

Reece Blogal – Good backing track but you did set it up too loud. Song has potential but would have benefitted from a definitive hook. Click here for some tips on writing songs

Birmingham music auditions – 16-20 feedback continued

Paige – A very static performance and you need to watch the control. A good vocal tutor will help assist to improve your projection and control click here for more information on what improvements can be made with singing lessons. Also consider song choice a selecting a song that best shows off your range. Click here for the importance of song choice.

Alex Murphy –Great vocal but a bit of a lazy performance hands in your pockets and lack of engagement which if you could improve on will greatly improve you. Click here for tips on how to perform visually

James Stephens – Certainly looked the part with good vocal projection, however would consider making the song your own as little too karaoke at the moment. Click here to find out more about performing a creative cover.

Anya Lang - A well constructed and catchy original. However to bring the song to life more work on the expression and performance.

Little Beatz – Need to work on tightening the harmonies. As a vocal group you need to look at each other to increase the chemistry. Click here for tips on performing on stage

Chloe Thomas - Try and remain focused as you came across very nervous. Never stop or apologise as it just highlights any mistake you make. Click here to find out more about dealing with nerves.

Megan Lara Mae –Beautiful performance.  Lovely sound, hypnotic, try and engage right at your audience so they feel that you are just performing to them as an individual as have bags of potential.

Keren & Lauren – You vocals work will together, restructure the parts you are both singing especially at the start for more impact. Lacked a little conviction in the chorus, click here for tips on writing songs

Jayson – Strong image. Diction and what you are singing is not clear. You have good projection but need more control. Try to work on the louder parts to avoid sounding like you’re shouting.

Alpha – Liked the mash up and well worked song choices. Look to work on the performance, click here for some tips on performance.

Alina - Consider selecting a less popular song otherwise run the risk of someone else doing the same song, also you are also going to struggle to compete with the original artist unless you really make it different which you didn’t. Click here for the importance of song choice.

Gauran Balli –Heartfelt delivery. Lovely tone to your vocal and well worked guitar playing. Just take control of your vocal in places.

Becky Rose - Consider selecting a less popular song otherwise run the risk of someone else doing the same song, also you are also going to struggle to compete with the original artist unless you really make it different which you didn’t. Click here for the importance of song choice. We had this song so many times in last year’s competition sometimes 3 or 4 times in the same show.

Holly Evans – Good vocal projection but consider selecting a less popular song otherwise run the risk of someone else doing the same song, also you are also going to struggle to compete with a great singer like Jessie J unless you really make it different which you didn’t. Click here for the importance of song choice.

Amanda Basmakova - After a shaky start you found your stride demonstrating a good vocal. Whether good or bad you can hear your accent which isn’t always desirable. Consider selecting a less popular song otherwise run the risk of someone else doing the same song, also you are also going to struggle to compete with the original artist unless you really make it different which you didn’t. Click here for the importance of song choice.

Micah Rose – Very confident delivery, watch the high notes! Liked the fact you stood forward to stand out. Consider song choice and selecting a song that best shows off your range. Click here for the importance of song choice.

Mia Benton – Strong vocal. Gave a nice country twang to the performance which you made your own. Guitar work could have been more interesting with more chord changes and more dynamic.
