Unscripted – Great chemistry within the group. Well built up contrasting harmonies, commit more to the performance. Vocals blend really well and good tuning. To improve look to work on the performance and add more conviction. Click here for tips on performing on stage.
Emilia Dziuk – Good vocal but song choice was a very popular one for music theatre. Also keep focused throughout the performance as you lost the thread and lyrics. Click here to see how important song choice can be.
Charlotte Page – More performance will improve your confidence. Also look to pick a less obvious song choice to make sure you stand out from the crowd - click here to see how important song choice can be.
Charlie Pughe – Cracking vocal and lovely song with real potential. Look to work on the performance, click here for tips on performing on stage. Also work on how you are going to translate the emotion in the song into your mannerisms, click here for pointers on how to sing with emotion.
Tianna Weir – Potential is there but not convinced the song choice was the best for you on two levels; one it is a very popular choice and difficult to put your own spin on it and secondly it didn’t show off the best tone in your range, click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.
Faith Ball – You’ve got a great image. Lovely vocal but to be even better commit more emotionally to the song, lose yourself to the song rather than getting distracted by other things going on around you, click here for advice on how to sing with emotion.
Laura Cruz – Try and change the dynamics of the song rather than singing it throughout with the same tone. Look to also sharpen up the notes rather than hang too long on them.
Olivia Reed – A confident performance, both vocally and performance-wise. Going forward you need to look to go to the next level and make the song your own, click here to tips on writing your own songs.
Freya Cavender – Your keyboard work needs a bit of attention as you were looking down a lot rather than engaging with your audience. Vocally you have a cracking vocal.
Kat Cooper – Nice tone to your vocal but a lack of confidence meant the performance lacked commitment and drive. Working on your performance would help to enhance your auditions, click here for some tips on performance skills.
Naomi Jean – There is potential here but it might benefit you to pick a much less popular artist to sing as you’re always going to be compared to the original artist. Unless you do a very different version, it’s going to be difficult to compete. Click here for the importance of song choice and how to perform a creative cover.
Chloe Bradby – Your diction was very clear and the song suited you. Going forward try and make the cover as creative as you can, click here for tips on how to do that!
Lydia Purcell – Performed very well. Vocally you’re very strong but as with many of your peers your performance was too similar to the original, making it difficult to compete with the original artist. Click here for tips on how to perform a creative cover.
Ben Kempton - Good vocal but song choice was a very popular one from the musical theatre genre. Click here for advice on choosing the right song. Also difficult to make the song your own when you choose to do musical theatre which then makes it difficult to be original.
Jack Retallack – Excellent voice. A really committed and engaging performance, guitar made it a quirky and individual performance.
Isobel Holly Pinder – Lovely vocal, song was decent and nice on the ear but lacked a hook to really engage or leave an imprint in your head. Click here for some tips on writing songs.
Bristol music auditions – feedback continued
Reuben de Maid – A very confident performance for someone so young. Distinct vocal and crisp look.
Grace Palmer – Well composed. Fantastic audition, good engagement and song.
Lowri Morris – Very talented but try not to force the vocal and work in more dynamics so you don’t have to force the vocal because you haven’t allowed your vocal to breathe. Try to avoid sounding like you’re shouting.
Taylor Ball – You look great. A nervy performance and too popular a song choice, click here to see the importance of song choice. More performance will help your confidence.
Lucy Walters - Very talented but try not to force the vocal and work in more dynamics so you don’t have to force the vocal.
Jonathan Aimsworth – Good performance using the area nicely and to the full. Difficult to make the song your own when you choose to do musical theatre which then makes it difficult to be original.
Anabelle Davis – Performed very well. Solid audition and good song choice.
Yasmin Patching – Good vocally but to be even better look to strengthen your core and vocal projection. Concentrate on your diction.
Karen Lee – Very sweet and amazing for a 10 year old, look to keep developing that vocal in particular your projection. Try to avoid picking an obvious song choice.
Kieran Marsh – Better dynamics would drive the chorus and hook more.
Sean Uruski – Lovely sound from the guitar, vocally you started in the wrong key (nerves?) which then affected your audition, more performance will help the nerves.
Sarah Chung – Good audition, again better dynamics to really drive through that hook and make you stand out even more.
Kayleigh Gibbs – A tough song to sing and unless you’re going to make it really different it’s going to be a struggle to get close to the original artist. Click here for tips on how to perform a creative cover.
Willow – Nice song. Remember to perform to express that emotion in the song to back up your strong vocal. Click here for tips on how to sing with emotion.
Ruby Howatson- Hill – Good potential look to work on improving your vocal projection and dynamics.
Luke Edwards – You’ve got a lot of potential. Good projection, remember to perform and express.
Millianna Cotterell – A solid audition, good dynamics and range. Look to work on really committing to the performance to back up the vocals.
Olivia Kneath – Lovely rasp to your vocal.
Tom Auton – Very talented lad, need to look to develop your own style (songs) and take your originality to the next level. Great voice.
Bethany Bacasnot – A nervy start but thereafter you put yourself under a lot of pressure by picking a really hard song to hit those top notes. Next time, try to work on your song choice to show off the best tone of your range, click here for the importance of song choice.
