Bristol Singing Auditions

Mia Dobbs –  Bold song choice, song choice is very important click here for more on the importance of song choices. Liked that you made the song your own and click here for more on performing a creative cover. Try and look to develop your eye contact to express the emotion in the song, click here for the importance of eye contact.

Terri Kate Lee – You have a lovely tone, try and bring in elements of performance as it was a little stiff, click here for the importance of stage presence. Always look to follow warm up and lubricate your vocals so you don’t dry up, click here for tips on how to warm up your vocals and looking after your vocals.

Mia Moss – You were a little nervous, so look to put in practice some positive elements to assist you coping with the nerves as all singers get nervous, click here for more dealing with nerves.

Ollie Hulme -  A confidence audition, make sure you don’t force the vocal out of the comfort of the key of the song. Going forward try and be as original as you can, click here for more on performing a creative cover. Also, would be interested to see if you write your own songs as that needs to be the direction you want to head for if you aren’t already.

Rosie Ugalde – Guitars blended well to give a nice comfortable sound, try as performers to reach out to each other to show you’re in it together rather than the performance being very unattached. For more on singing in a group click here.

Triple Threat – You all have super voices, but look to harmonise as much as you can. Main area to develop is to work on your performance and interaction as a group click here for more on singing in a group.

Kate Marine – You need to learn the song without the use of aids, so much more practice is required. Practice will build your confidence you can then relax more into the performance. Click here for more on audition tips.

Mischa Jankowska – Super audition and loved the song, click here for more on writing that killer song chorus and look to write as much as you can as your songwriting can only get better.

Lucy Parker – One of the best vocals of the day! You picked the perfect song to show off your vocals. Going forward look to make your performance as original as possible, click here for more on performing a creative cover.

Ellie Davey – The ukulele can be good for some songs but also quite limiting on others by being a bit thin sounding. Look to change the dynamics around more to give the performance more punch especially on the chorus and hooks, click here for more on vocal dynamics.

Feedback for Bristol Singing Auditions

Hannah Glencross - A confident audition, albeit a little safe in terms of song choice. Going forward try and be as original as you can, click here for more on performing a creative cover. Also, would be interested to see if you write your own songs as that needs to be the direction you want to head for if you aren’t already to give you extra originality. Beautiful high notes, make sure you push the lower ones when coming back down.

Laura Hayes - You have a lovely tone, try, and bring in elements of performance as it was a little stiff click here for the importance of stage presence. Eye contact is a great way of communicating the emotion of the song, click here for the importance of eye contact.

Tiana James – Song choice is so important and picking the right song you can be creative with whilst showing off the best in your vocal is beneficial, click here for more on the importance of song choices. Vocally, don’t force the song and sacrifice the control. You’ve got a powerful voice, don’t just rely on that to carry you, tighten everything else around it.

Cameron Mills – Super tone and control albeit lacking originality, so click here for more on performing a creative cover. Performance wise try and convey more emotion to back up the wonderful vocal, click here for more on singing with emotion. Powerful and really deep vocals.

Ollie Wild – Good impression and sound from the song. Any musician is only as good as his songs, click here for more on songwriting. Great runs with your vocal, really liked your voice. Make sure your vocals aren’t drowned.

Nia Aaliya – Image is very important for an act, click here for the importance of singers image. Great tone, carried through. Great song choice, you just need some more variation.

Lucy Taylor – Nice song but you need to commit even more to bringing more dynamics, click here for more on bringing more vocal dynamics in, as for large parts of the song it was on one level.  Use your expression to bring us the emotional message of the song click here for the importance of singing with facial expressions.

Open Mic UK – Bristol Singing Auditions

Veszna Milekity – Need to be more original, doing a song the same as the original is a tough one to impress with, either do your own songs or do a creative cover as you have an amazing vocal with lots of power, click here for more on performing a creative cover. You’ve got a big voice.

Francisca Rigaud – You need to watch your diction and key, click here for the importance of diction for singers. Super tone and control albeit lacking originality, click here for more on performing a creative cover. Performance wise try and convey more emotion to back up the wonderful vocal. Pitching needs work for a more convincing performance.

Plain Jane James – Look to work on your guitar playing as that is your weakness currently and rather than looking down at what you are playing you need to be expressing the emotion of the song. Practice hard and who knows where it could lead as the song has plenty of potential.

Declan Bartlett – Good dynamics and you have a super tone, watch you don’t stretch your vocal too much that it sacrifices your control. Song is a good one, just look to give us more eye contact, click here for more on the importance of eye contact

Lauren England – Good eye contact throughout which helped us connect to your performance. Look to commit to give us more dynamics in the performance, click here for more on vocal dynamics. Good tone and a lovely voice.
