Feedback – Essex Auditions
Ella Massingham - Lovely tone, remember to perform a little more, even though it's an audition try and engage more. Click here for more on eye contact and click here for more on singing with facial expression. Also consider your song choice and how you make it your own, click here for performing a creative cover. Your tuning was good.
Gabriel Ferreira - Great to hear your own song, just watch your tempo perhaps practice with a metronome to keep the flow going. Also click here for more on vocal dynamics. Never stop during the performance, just carry on and keep it going. You have nice tone, just watch your projection, click here for more on vocal projection.
Millie Kirkpatrick – Great performance. Nice rasp to your vocal and clarity to your vocal. Don't be frightened to go for it even more. Click here for more on vocal dynamics to drive through the chorus. Really connected with the song, well-rehearsed.
Fedrica Ebiuwa Russo – Strong projection. Great look to make you stand out, click here for more on singer’s image. Please ensure you give more eye contact to connect with your audience, which are the judges for an audition, click here for tips on eye contact. Also you started with your hands on your hips and it was good to see you relax into the performance after a fairy static start. Song choice wise singing in a foreign language does make it hard to connect to the meaning of the song, click here for tips on audition song.
Essex Audition Feedback
Olivia Khattar - Nice to see you smiling, always makes it an engaging start. Vocally, you have good power and a strong hint of being classically trained which you need to be aware of. Great to see you make the song your own, click here for more on performing a creative cover. Perhaps for the next round, try a different genre to bring out more of your voice, click here for tips on audition song.
Annabel Hards - Good vocal, although you now need to look to push yourself to be a little differently. Click here for the importance of audition song and in particular try and pick songs that are a little less obvious also consider how to make a cover your own, which will help you stand out further, click here for performing a creative cover.
Diana Hysenaj - Good song choice and there were some sweet moments, look to work with a good vocal coach to make you even better, click here for advice on picking a singing teacher, who will be able to help you with projection, range in particular.
Christina Turner - Nice playing, click here for more on performing with the music keyboards; consider in particular looking up more and not down at the keys. Practice to the point where you don't look down at the keys unless it's a part of the performance. Not sure this was the song choice for you as you sounded a bit nervy, click here for tips on audition song.
Katie Troubridge - Good control, diction and projection. Singing classically, you are always going to be performing as a character rather than being original and showing us your own personality. For the next round, perhaps choose a different of a different genre to show what you have, click here for tips on audition song.
Feedback – Essex Auditions
Charlotte Knibb - Nice tone but as a performance it was all too static, click here for more on stage performance. Song choice is very important and picking a song that under pressure your vocals hold out for is essential, as at times you lost control. A good vocal coach will be able to assist you to be even better, click here for advice on picking the right singing teacher.
Mercy Sotire - Good sentiment to the song, although we felt like it lacked dynamics especially at the front end to really grab you, click here for more on vocal dynamics to drive those hooks through. Good song complemented by your vocals. You’ve got nice tone and a lovely rasp to your vocal. You expressed yourself really well.
Feedback – Essex Auditions
James Mayes - Good potential but take care with your diction, click here for more on ways to improve diction. A good vocal coach will be able to work with you on your vocal to make it even better, click here for more on picking a singing teacher.
Dan Higgs - The song was a strong one! Try and use the dynamics to drive through the hooks of the song, click here for tips on vocal dynamics. Good connection to the song, look to commit even more to convey the emotion, click here for more on how to sing with emotion.
Yvette Mitchell - Lovely vocal and diction. Singing classically, you are always going to be performing as a character rather than being originally and showing us your own personality. Better dynamics would have made it a more interesting performance, click here for advice on vocal dynamics.
Nefe Etomi - You have a raspy with power and good use of dynamics to keep the interest going throughout. You looked fresh with a bright dress and hate which worked well with your image, click here for tips on singer’s image.
