Yasmin Samadi – Lovely song. Make sure you use eye contact with the audience to connect more. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Russell Akbar – You make an immediate impression with a good original. Good potential.Your vocals, guitar and personality when singing all worked well. Your projection could be worked on as well as your diction in the rap sections. Click here for advice on improving your diction

Pia Harmony – You have real potential and get better each time.

Danielle Pattison – Your projection and diction was good. To be even better, work on your expression and don’t be afraid to use your body language to express the meaning of the song. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Callum – Lots of potential here. When choosing an acapella song try and close the gaps between the lines. To improve try to commit more to the performance. It felt a little wooden and you need to bring the song to life as the story teller. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Christoper Zah – You really need to warm up before performing and work on developing your projection to be better. Click here for tips on warming up the vocals

Henrietta – It really felt like you were connected to the message. Focus on bringing the hook of your song to the fore so we are left with it in our heads. Using dynamics can really help focus on bringing that out even more. Click here for advice on singing with emotion.

Lily Ella-Ball – Your expression and connection to the song were strong, but vocally your projection and diction could be improved to be even better. Click here for advice on improving your diction.

Kellie Newport – It’s important to make sure you warm up fully before your performance. Click here for tips on warming up the vocals.

Poppy Scarlett – Good original but try and work on making the hook as catchy as possible so the song is left in people’s heads. Click here for songwriting tips. Try and work on your diction as I couldn’t understand some of the words. Click here for advice on improving your diction

James Barrag – I could hear some nice harmonies for your song – ever thought about becoming a duo? There are lots of guys with guitars!

Grace Moseley – Confident performance. However, you need to work on reducing the nasally tone which is overpowering.

Paige Jones-Saunders - Nice tone but work on performance. Pick a less popular song choice and try and make it your own, click here for advice on performing a creative cover

Sophie Hurley – Good song choice but you needed to commit more to the song emotionally and add dynamics as the song was very much on one level throughout. Click here for advice on singing with emotion

Matthew Pead – Your breathing technique would improve your vocal. There’s potential here – keep practicing! Try and find a good vocal coach to improve projection and tone. Click here to see how singing lessons can help you improve.

Izzy & Emily – Would like to see some more contrasting harmonies to really layer up the vocal depth of the song.  Also think about a synchronised image between you. Click here for tips on finding an image as an act.

Essex music auditions – feedback continued

Katie Hawkins – You have a super tone. Going forward try and make the song as original as you can. Click here for advice on performing a creative cover

Charlotte Meldrum – Cute song.

Laura Maze – Need to bring some life and passion to the performance, so work on connecting emotionally to the song and then commit to expressing it. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Birch Brothers – Good work, but pick something more current to sing for the next round! Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Yasmin Amirah – Liked your song, but I feel more vocal variations in the melody would improve the song. Good connection to the song and a lovely tone. Remember to perform from the start as it felt a little awkward throughout the instrumental at the start. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Michael Hughes – Think dynamics as you sung your song on one level throughout. Try bringing your performance to life with better dynamics and expression. Click here for advice on singing with emotion and click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Tim Noakes – Try and keep your set-up simple. Playing along to a backing track is neon impossible without click tracks and you were playing out of time to the CD backing track.

Kalvin – He showed us that he loved to sing and gave an enjoyable performance. Well done!

Jonathan Bingham – Lots of potential here, keep practicing! Nice playing but look up and connect to your audience. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Jesamine – Your voice is well suited to musical theatre – maybe edge more this way.

Sarah Louise – Nice vocals but make sure you don’t force them.

Spike Wilde - A good vocal coach will help you improve your projection. Click here to see how singing lessons can help you improve.

April Waterman – Good expressions when singing. Gave a good performance.

Laura Sharman – Liked your interpretation of the cover to make it your own, well done!

Georgina Starr – Good eye contact but you need to connect more emotionally to the song. Click here for advice on singing with emotion and click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Nadine Dixon - Nice vocals but work on your performance techniques and expressing the song’s emotion. Click here for advice on singing with emotion and click here for stage performance tips for singers. Pick a less popular song choice and try and make it your own. Click here for advice on performing a creative cover.

Tory Olivier – A confident performer. Occasionally off-pitch so concentrate throughout.

Phyllis Deruze - Nice tone but work on performance and projecting your vocal. Click here for stage performance tips for singers. Pick a less popular song choice and try and make it your own. Click here for advice on performing a creative cover.

Jo Worrow – You’re very strong vocally but ensure you don’t force it and lose your control.

Dee Hunter – Playing was excellent but remember to engage with your audience. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.
