Isobella Dowd – A powerful voice. Be careful not to overdo the trill and tricks. You picked a big song which you handled well but felt you needed to project a little more. Good expression. Don’t be scared to use your hands to express even more. Click here for stage performance tips for singers. You had a great musical connection and showed us that you loved to sing.

Hannah Temperton – Liked you moved around and mashed it up. You had good stage confidence and it was a good audition, although slightly pitchy in places.

Ella MacDonald – You have a nice tone to your voice although you seemed a little nervous. Be confident! Click here for advice on overcoming stage fright. Make sure you pick a less popular song choice. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance. You had good diction and focused well.

Emily Wright – I liked the song choice – you performed a nice interpretation of the song and really made it your own. Watch your tuning and work on the projection of your vocal now. A pure, innocent tone.

Elizabeth Dowd – Lots of potential here with your songwriting. Now you need to work on your keyboard work so you have the confidence to look up and engage the audience.

Holly Gaines – Your timing was a little off today, so work on that. You have a lovely voice. Remember to look up when you’re performing. Click here for stage performance tips for singers. Despite the nerves it was a good song choice and you sang nicely. Click here for advice on overcoming stage fright.

Mathura – You have a good tone, although you would benefit from some singing lessons to improve you further. Click here to see how singing lessons can help you improve. The song you picked is a very popular one and also very difficult to do as well as the original artist. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Megan Blair – Good song choice – it showed the character and pure tone in your vocal and you had a great connection to the song. Now work on bringing that connection to the song out even more with your facial expressions and body language. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Avery Maude – Your song choice was a very popular song choice, which puts you under pressure to do it as well as everybody else who has picked it! Next time try and pick a song that’s not so popular so you stand out. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance. You have a nice voice but working on your dynamics would help you a lot.

Regan Price – A good performance and great song to showcase in a short audition. You have a mature, rich voice and displayed good projection and expression.  Try and include even more dynamics in the performance and never stop! Click here for advice on singing with emotion

Leah Baker – Try and bring more personality to the performance, as it lacked a little passion today. Try and commit to the performance. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Aimee Cross – Nice tuning. You gave a nice performance and have a lovely voice, but the performance lacked energy. Click here for stage performance tips for singers. Try and find confidence to look at the audience as that will help you connect more. Good interpretation of the song.

Alice Giddings – You have a soulful tone to your voice. Try to show your personality now during your performance. You have to stand out! Click here for stage performance tips for singers. You have a lovely focus when singing and drew in the audience with a sweet melodic tone and expression.

Kai Varnals – You have potential and a lovely vocal, although your acapella version was a little pitchy today. Try and commit more to the performance and vocals as it almost feels like you are holding back. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Nathan Roberts – Try and look up when performing. Be confident and show more personality! Don’t forget that your eyes and hands are all part of your performance too. Click here for stage performance tips for singers

Jorja Rutherford – Good expression. You have a nice tone and I enjoyed your performance – your song choice was a little safe. Be brave and go for something a little higher! Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Megan Maynard – You could work on your projection. Try and make an impact! Try and focus on performing the song with your facial expression and body language as you were fairly static today. Click here for stage performance tips for singers

Emma Cunningham – You had a nervy start but you flourished as the performance went on! Try and create an impact from the start as the potential is there.

Elise Keeling – Your song choice was a very popular song choice, which puts you under pressure to do it as well as everybody else who has picked it! You sang it well, but next time try and pick a song that’s not so popular so you stand out. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Indigo – Your song choice was a very popular song choice, which puts you under pressure to do it as well as everybody else who has picked it! You sang it well, but next time try and pick a song that’s not so popular so you stand out. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Olly Davis – You brought a good energy. You could work on your projection as your voice needs to be heard over your guitar. Nice, confident guitar work and engagement.

Katy Richmond - Nice vocal tone but now work on your performance in terms of facial expressions and body language. Click here for stage performance tips for singers. Also try and pick a less popular song choice and try to make it your own.

Stella – Nice confident keywork. I liked your song and it had a good meaning, although I think you could go for a younger sound - you are young, so keep it that way! Click here for songwriting tips. Always make sure you work on a catchy hook to help the song really stick in people’s heads.

Thomas – A little old fashioned for me, but you were very confident and your voice is lovely! You gave a good version but it would be great to hear you put your own spin on it now – click here for advice on performing a creative cover.

Breeze Redwine – A big voice for someone so small. You committed well to the performance! Nice rasp to your vocal. Watch your timing as it waivered in places, and work on expressing the meaning of the song using your facial expressions and body language. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Essex music auditions – more feedback continued

Olivia Hurdle – You picked quite a dated song choice – click here for advice on performing a creative cover. You have a strong vocal but it was a little pitchy in place – try not to change keys when singing acapella.

Macey Doward – It was great you were looking up to engage the audience rather than looking down. Try and attack the song – it was a laid-back vocal and guitar – try and make an impact!

Courtney Emery – Lovely tone, but commit more to the expression and emotion in the song by using facial expressions and body language. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Reece – Really different. A very original act! I liked your song which was very well-written for your age. Keep writing! Click here for songwriting tips.

Lily Filer – You have a strong voice and a good tone and projection to your vocal.

Tash Khan – You need to rehearse more so your performance is second nature.

Daynah Lorelle – Liked that you smiled when you sang as it brightened your tone and it was good to watch you enjoying the performance. Now try and relax more so your performance can flow. Click here for advice on overcoming stage fright.

Rosie Clark – A very sweet voice – maybe you could try a different style of song as you tend to pick a similar style each time. Be brave and go for something different! Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance. Also try and work on your performance in terms of facial expression and body language and projecting your vocal. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Sadie – A confident performance, well done.

Charlotte Birch-James – You had a nervy start, but showed signs of real potential with a very good original song which was sang and delivered very well. Click here for advice on overcoming stage fright.

Holly Heard – You have a nice tone but now I’d look to pick a less popular song choice to give you the chance to show a little more character. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Shannon Barowski – Big song choice and a big vocal!

Megan O’Connor – More performance experience will build your confidence.

Anna Chitty – A confident performance, well done.

Megan Carmichael –Your song choice relies on you committing 100% emotionally to the song, and I’m not convinced you demonstrated that connection today. Work on conveying the emotion of the song using your facial expressions and body language. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Kate Gilbert – You had a bold projection and demonstrated good diction.

Jessica Wade-Barry – You’re doing very nicely for the age of 10! Keep working on developing as you’re on the right lines.

Natalie Reid – Not the best song choice as there wasn’t enough flowing melody to show off your vocals and it’s a popular choice, but you still showed lots of promise and gave a good performance. Click here to see how song choice can improve your performance.

Daisy Benson – You gave a very confident performance with good expression. You have a nice voice but it would have been improved if you pulled back on the musical theatre expressions and made it more natural. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.

Courtney English – The potential is there but the performance would benefit from you adding more dynamics to make it more interesting and engaging. Click here for advice on singing with emotion.

Jessica Folley – You’re very good vocally but next time pick a less popular song choice and try and make it your own - click here for advice on performing a creative cover.

Abbie Gunnell – You had a good connection emotionally to the song. Good key work!

Lucia Valentino – It was a strong audition - just try and be as original as you can in the next round without compromising your own personality. Click here for advice on performing a creative cover. Try not to drop your chin when singing low notes – we heard a little of your higher range  today but maybe when auditioning try and pick the best part of the song to sing first to showcase your ability straight away.

Adelaid – A beautiful pure tone which is already very well-controlled. Lots of hard work has gone into your voice! However, take caution not to sing ahead of the music and go out of time due to nerves. Click here for advice on overcoming stage fright.

Georgia Kleopa – You have a powerful vocal – looking forward to hearing more from you! Now work on the dynamics in your performance and in particular embracing the lower notes in the performance. Click here for advice on singing with emotion.

Jasmine & Carmen – Nice harmonies in the chorus – maybe pick a song that is fast and have more fun with it! Try and add harmonies elsewhere in the performance too.

Ishita – Good effort singing an original song, but you were out of tune with the backing track. The song has potential but you need to work on your tuning which a good vocal coach can help you with. Click here to see how singing lessons can help you improve.

Nicole Freeman – Vocally you were good, but now try to add more expression and physical performance making use of facial expressions and body language. Click here for stage performance tips for singers. Your song choice was a little safe – pick something with more vocal variation.

Ruby Saville-Downs – A good performance, but remember not to look down too much and try and engage your audience more to go to the next level. Click here for stage performance tips for singers.
