Tom Roynon Blake – Improve image, needs to be more than just your normal shopping clothes, click here for tips on image. Loop worked well, great passion. Your whole body enjoyed the music you were playing. A very passionate performance. Keep writing as your songs are very good. Improve you diction as there were certain lyrics that weren’t clear, click here for tips on diction.
Kay Mitchell – Great image, tied together nicely with your red hair! Dressed to impress. Perform visually too, nice tone to voice. Use the stage more, click here for tips on performance. Would like to have heard a song that opened your vocals more. Try to add a bit more to your performance overall visually.
Nicole Finch – Dress worked well for image, nice controlled vocal, moved on stage a little but room for more movement, click here for tips on performance. Passionate performance. Need to contact more with the audience. Watch your timing.
Luke Muldoon – Vocals struggled with big notes. Move on the stage more, it’s there to be used, click here for tips on performance. Image worked but not for this song. A good song and you sang it well but more was needed on the stage.
Exeter singers wanted
Kate Brown – Nice, smart image which worked for this song. Nice to see the mic being taken off the stand and using stage. Great eye contact with judges. A lovely tone but some parts sounded like you were mumbling. Not sure the song choice was good, click here for importance of song choice.
Harriet Seed – Lovely soft vocal, song suited style. Would like to see you stood up with your guitar rather than sitting down. Image could be worked on, click here for tips on image. Lovely voice with great falsetto and dynamic changed. Well performed and treated with respect. Evidence of some lovely rich tones at times.
Becky Howe – Great covers, very original twists on them. Image worked for you. Look at the audience more, don’t close your eyes so much. It sounded like you were copying some sounds of artists rather than being original, click here for tips on performing a creative cover. Your own version would have come across better. Overall a good sound though.
Emily B – Struggled with lower register, perhaps pick a song that doesn’t highlight that, click here for importance of song choice. Image could be worked on, nice to see you using the stage. A few pitching issues.
Joshie – Song was the same level and tempo throughout, got very samey quickly, click here on ideas to improve your dynamics. Image worked for you. If you can improve your guitar skills to keep up with your voice then you will be stunning. Next time maybe perform without the guitar.
Ethan – Unique gravelly vocal, which we weren’t expecting. Image worked for his age and act. Lovely tone to your voice. You lost the melody at times. It would have been nice to see you sing something a bit more challenging. Maybe some vocal technique would help a better delivery.
Alissa Louise – Image was attention grabbing but perhaps not right for song choice, click here for importance of song choice. The hoody seemed very random compared to rest of outfit? Don’t play with your hands whilst you sing, use them to add to the performance, click here for tips on performance. You need to look like you want to be there. Nerves got the best of you at parts of the performance and sadly, that showed.
Exeter singers wanted
Twiggy – The dancers were a nice touch, added more to the performance. Image worked really well. Unfortunately the vocals were lacking in the dynamic performance, click here on ideas to improve your dynamics.
Adam Franklin – Image needs to improve; you’re on stage in front of lots of people….dress to impress, click here for tips on image. Be confident enough with your keyboard that you don’t have to look down at it throughout your performance. You’ve got an audience sat watching you, look at them!
Phoebe Lea – Unique style. Watch your diction, be careful not to adopt American twang to vocals, click here for tips on diction. Don’t move around aimlessly, control the stage. I loved the song but felt you could have delivered it a bit better. Lovely tone though so well done.
David Parfitt – Open your eyes and perform to us. Image can be improved. Try to be more emotional with the song, click here for singing with emotion. It was a nice delivery but not at all times. Keep writing as your music is good.
Keeley – Great image for the act. Although you made it a creative cover, the song is heard so often it makes it difficult for you to stand out, click here for importance of song choice.
Deina – Gorgeous vocal, nice to see you using the stage a little. Image worked but could match the song more, click here for tips on image. Performed to the audience, giving a solid performance.
Roads – Work to tie image in together with your performance. Great vocal, lovely individual voices and even better together. You both enjoyed it and so did we. One of the best acts so far today. Song worked well, but for next time to give it more drive! The harmonies worked well together.
Elisha – Use the stage more, click here for tips on performance. Loved the jazzy style! Great unique voice. Careful to be as original as possible as you performed a song we’ve heard a number of times, click here for tips on performing a creative cover.
