Sid Vernon – You’re really captured the style Sid. Lovely performance and great personality.

Lil Disciple ft. Eva – You’ve got strong vocals. Very current sound which is good to see. You need to make sure you get the image and performance in sync between you both, click here for tips on act image.

Jo Carson – Liked you made the cover your own click here for more tips on making creative covers and writing your own songs.

Roxanne Phillips – Great to see your personality shine through. A lovely son. Delicate vocals.

Jeradine – Nice to hear a different version but it is a very popular song so be careful picking popular covers for a number of reasons; one being duplication of the same song in a show. Click here for importance of song choice. Don’t be afraid to make more eye contact with your audience.

Callum Stock - A brave song choice but one you conveyed that you connected emotionally with which is really important. Loved the rasp in your voice and dynamics. Try to consider image and engagement between you both to be in sync, click here for tips on act image.

Ben – Nice version Ben! It would’ve been nice to hear a bit more of you in the song, click here for on performing a creative cover. Great pitching and dynamics.

Jade – Nice to hear you sing the song in your own accent. You warmed into your performance, even after a nervy start. Really liked the chorus!

Bryn Mann – It’s clearly an emotional song but it lacked commitment to convey that emotion, click here for tips on singing with emotion. Remember to use your diaphragm for vocal support.

Lara Howard – Wonderful attack Lara. A good theatrical performance but lacked originality, click here for tips on performing a creative cover.

Charlotte Morgan – Make sure your body language is open, don’t sing with your arms crossed, click here for tips on performing visually. A good vocal coach will be able to improve your projection and tone.

Caroline Heywood – A good vocal and liked that you performed the song with a prop of the song although the projection suffered by facing the wrong way to start with. Never stop performing mid flow as just highlights any errors that you make.

Aggie Bevan – Unique tone. Make sure you show a connection to convey emotion in the song more, click here for tips on singing with emotion.

Codie Leigh – Lovely rich tone. Vocally strong but never stop because it just highlights any error made.

Charlie Child – Strong audition. Well-constructed and you played to your strengths vocally. Potential in the song but be sure to drive through the hook to be even more engaging and catchy.

Fareham Auditions for Musicians – feedback continued

Coral – Love your personality, and you can see it when you’re singing. It would’ve been nice to hear more of your range. Singing round your middle register can sound a little nasal at time, you could benefit from one on one lessons, click here for importance of singing lessons.

Michelle Weaver – Vocally nice but lack expression and performance. Commit to convey this emotion, click here for tips on singing with emotion. Try and find some open mic nights where you can get some more performance experience, click here for open mic nights for singers.

Evangeline – Crossing your arms while you sing prevents you from sounding more powerful. A very nervy performance; more performance will build up your confidence, click here for advice on open mic nights.

Sonia – Good pitches. A nice vocal to a dated song choice, click here for importance of song choice.

Alan Davy – Great style, Alan. Need a little more support on the higher and lower notes. Lovely engaging performance.

Sophie – Nice style Sophie- you really suit country music. One thing to work on is making eye contact with your audience, click here for tips on performing visually.

Darran Rampton – Nice vocal tone. An easy song on the ear but not hearing a catchy hook to stick in your head which a potential hit single would need. Look to work on working the lyrical hook line to make it a bit more engaging, click here for tips on writing songs.

Catherine Jones – Strong keyboard work. Good eye contact to aid connection with the artist. Really showed off your vocal range. Very nice audition.

Oscar – An original audition. You seemed a little nervous throughout your performance, which affected your vocals slightly.

Joe Waller – Good vocals and nice sentiment to the song. Engage more with the audience to connect us to the song even more. Adlibs before you were stopped are too long, write song lyrics to replace some of this, click here for tips on writing songs. Did really well with the high notes.

Paige – Beautiful tone. Great range and nice stylistic change for us to hear. Really strong audition.

Fareham Auditions for Musicians – feedback continued

Sarah Batt – Was good to see you perform and look like you were enjoying the performance. Going forward try to make sure you make the song your own, click here to read about doing a creative cover. Make sure your image fits with the song you’re singing, click here for tips on act image.

Nathan Newman – Good pitch. Enjoyable performance, but could’ve benefitted from some eye contact with your audience. Nice audition – well done.

Mark James – Hands in the pocket throughout the performance which didn’t help your voice as your body wasn’t open enough. Try to make sure you make the song your own, rather than an imitation of the original, click here for tips on performing a creative cover

Sonny Shaw – Think the song is ok but it’s hard to relate too as what’s it about, it’s also a bit annoying? The message is not clear. Add to the lyrics or begin to write and perform a more engaging song as the potential is there, click here for advice on writing your own songs.

Sean Parker – Original tune. Strong audition. Make sure to make eye contact with audience throughout your performance.

Maria – Tough song choice, but you have lovely vibrato. You didn’t seem comfortable whilst performing; possibly let the nerves get you to you slightly.

Veena – It was a difficult song choice to try and make your own. It was also very difficult to understand the lyrics, diction is so important when performing to get the connection between you and the audience, click here for tips on diction.

Anita – Great style. Good tone with a nice delivery. You gave a really confident performance.
