The Fareham music auditions were judged by music industry specialists who have provided music industry feedback for a selection of acts. The people the Fareham musicians wanted to impress were Gloria Miller of Gloria Miller Entertainment, Rosalind Fountain, an international singer, session musician in artist development, Tom Kent, singing teacher, Bubsie Yates, open mic organiser, Marcus Jones and head of Future Music, Chris Grayston.

Kezia Fryatt – A very nervous performance which came out in the vocals, more performance will build the performance confidence. You would benefit from some experience at open mic nights, click here for some advice on open mic nights.
Rachel Hogarth – Well done Rachel, an engaging performance. Good diction. Good expression to a dated song choice.
Billy T – Great audition. Lovely tone Billy. Nice cover but need to start introducing your own lyrics and words to really change the cover. As an acoustic act you will be judged on your own songs plus that’s where you could potential make more money going forward in the industry. Click here to for tips on writing your own songs.
Alisha B – Good fashionable image just thing to make the singing as original as possible click here for more information on performing a creative cover. Get yourself some open mic nights to build your experience and confidence, click here to advice on open mic nights.
Jordan Sheath – Wasn’t expecting your voice! Great audition. Catchy song which engaged us straight away. Really nail the performance to take it to the next level.
War Stories – Good you changed your name to an act name not sure how searchable it will be but you can make a name for yourself with good engaging songs as you perform.
The Final Score – Important you guys look part of the same act, engage and perform as one at appropriate times. Watch out not to imitate an American accent. Lovely performance.
Sam Faulkner – Nice tone and playing but a little sleepy and you could engage more with your audience. Working on dynamics will make it more interesting. Nice song choice.
Nick Tudgey – Fantastic guitar playing but without performing vocals really need to add a performance; a Nigel Kennedy type show to really take it to the next level.
Gemma Higgins – Doing a cover just make sure you make everything else as original as possible bring a show and make a splash. You’ve got a lovely rich tone. It would be nice to see you have a stronger connection to the song, click here for tips on singing with emotion.
Ayse Parsons – Very quirky and engaging song. Lovely sense of humour to your song. Warm performance and it was easy to feel the connection to the song.
Fareham music auditions – feedback continued
Kirsten Evans – Nice vocal control could perhaps look to work on the projection to be even better. Nice to hear an original song, but this might work better on an album rather than as a single by itself.
Naomi Englefield – Sounded a little nervous. Potential is there but you need to perform more and also pick a song that suits the nice tone in your vocal range. Click here for importance of song choice.
Amy Manthorpe – Good vocals but no expression or performance to back it up. It might benefit you to gain some experience from open mic nights. Click here for open mic night advice.
Molly Spencer-Farmer – Bit nervy which came out in the vocals, more performance will build this confidence. You need to perform and express your song, it’s not engaging to have your hands behind your back throughout.
Laura Hicks – Strong sense of pitch. Nice tone but where’s the commitment to the song and belting out that chorus.
Charlotte Broomer – Vocally strong but little expression and performance to bring it properly alive! Don’t forget diction is important for your audience; click here for tips on diction.
Alison Shepherd – Your audition had a lot of energy. Well performed but very theatrical which lacked originality as a little over staged.
Abi Merchant – Liked the original, easy on the ear and engaging. It was a good audition. You could benefit from some more experience gigging, click here for open mic nights for singers.
Lilo’s Wall – These guys demonstrate real potential, good chemistry between you and good instrumentation. Look to add an image or elements of one to start to move towards this, click here for tips on act’s image.
Sophie Pearce – You’ve got a really lovely range. Vocally it was a safe song choice but not one that seemed to show your vocal off to its best as need to pick a song that shows off the best tone in your range.
Tara Flanagan – Good engagement and dynamics in the performance. Even more dynamic in the song would drive the chorus through even more. Great vocal/ guitar combination.
Beth Parsons – Brave audition. A good showcase of your vocals and range. Good vocally remember to engage more with the audience as you rarely looked up with your eyes closed which loses one of your tools in creating greater connection to you as an artist.
