Glasgow Music Auditions – Feedback from Judges
Morgan Weir – Brilliant expression. Slightly pitching, but keep relaxed and it should help. Well done maintaining eye contact with audience. You projected confidence today. Would look at your image to match your vocal, click here for more on act image and synchronisation. Be careful of the phrasing in the faster vocals.
Olivia Donnachie – Such confidence for a 10 year old. Well done. Lovely wee voice. You need to work on the tricky parts of the song. Can see good things for you in the future with more practise. Work on your breathing, click here for breathing exercises for singing. Good song choice.
Sara Cartwright – Could listen to your tone all day. Relax and enjoy! Anchor that top note a bit more and it would have been perfect. Well done hitting the chorus, you can project well. Feedback for the Glasgow Music Auditions
Ruth Grand – Loved this. Your voice is quite unique and you can reach lower tones really well. Theatrical but it worked really well. Good use of frequency, moving voice round the piano. Strong voice, good dynamics on voice. Good choice of song. I will remember this audition. Magical tone and piano performance. Engage with your audience more to create a connection, click here for stage performance tips.
Megan Hayes – Good emotion in your voice. Open your eyes and engage with your audience, click here more on stage performance tips. Never stop and apologise when you mess up, it just highlights the mistake, carry on and it’s likely no one will notice! Some lovely tones throughout!
Sid Davidson – Good strong voice and nice original song. Really cool rock voice. Play up to the indie rock image, click here for more on act image and synchronisation. Loved your chorus! Good tone too. Just try to engage with us more, click here for stage performance tips.
Aneshka Pelowska – Mid and lower range is stunning. Just soften your tops, more breath would help. Voice was really strong and controlled but could be less harsh. Make more of a performance, Click here for stage performance tips. Good passion and energy here.
Collette Connolly – Lovely, delicate tone. A couple of notes missed on guitar, but generally very good. Original song is really good, but it’s very niche. Back your higher notes with more breath and you will project more, click here for more on how to achieve better vocal projection.
