Emico – Lovely, soulful, confident vocal. Great tone. Try engaging with the audience more to take your performance to the next level. Image-wise think something that will make you stand out before you even start to perform. Click here for advice on the importance of image.

Sara Barta – Good vocals but not sure why you had the backing singer for a number of reasons -  it didn’t feel like it added anything, and there was no engagement or chemistry between you or any sort of synchronised image between you? Great engagement with the audience. The song didn’t feel like it ‘went’ anywhere.

Jay Anthony – Good, catchy original song. Instrumentally it had a lot going out which may have made it a little crowded. Great control of the stage, but the performance aspects need some working out - it felt too repetitive and visually it needs more. Potential is there so work these things through to be even better. Click here for advice on using facial expressions whilst performing and click here for advice on stage performance.

Havva – You have a beautiful voice. Very engaging and convincing performance. Loved that you made the song your own. You have a good rasp and warmth to your vocal. Now look to work the dynamics vocally to embrace a wider range of highs and lows within the song. Click here for advice on dynamics.

Young Dreamer –Great lyrics. Sounded like a good message but the diction wasn’t clear throughout so work on that so we can hear everything you’re saying. Click here for advice on having good diction. Performance-wise use the stage and commit more to the performance to convey the story. Click here for advice on using facial expressions whilst performing and click here for advice on stage performance.

Anne Woodman – Beautiful voice – good control. Lovely tone. Have confidence in your vocal ability! It would be nice to hear you sing something more contemporary. Before you started the announcement of the song choice felt disappointing as it’s so popular and showed us nothing of you as an artist. Click here for advice on the importance of song choice. You are talented and good vocally so need to work on this to show us who you are as an individual.

Kirby –Try and articulate a little more so we can hear the message of the song. Click here for advice on having good diction. Great lyrics, but there wasn’t much variation.

Renee - You sang much better and with more personality than you did as a backing singer for Sara Barta. Good expression and dynamics. Take care not to force it and lose control. Great performance and interpretation of the song. You really know how to engage a crowd.

Deedee- A beautiful and effortless voice. It would be great to hear you sing something more contemporary. Liked your style and commitment to the song. Try and make sure you engage with the audience so they feel like you are performing to each one of them as individuals. You seemed to focus to a section of the audience. Click here for advice on using facial expressions whilst performing and click here for advice on stage performance.

Live music in Camden – Open Mic UK

Jake and Emily – Great song choice and arrangement and there was good chemistry between performers but the performance did lack a bit of commitment and life. Jake has a nice tone but you need to work on your projection which a good vocal coach will be able to assist you with. Click here for tips on achieving better vocal projection. Both have very pure voices. Have confidence in them.

Ben Johnson – Lovely unique style. Great original song. Now try and match your performance with what you’re singing about. Click here for advice on using facial expressions whilst performing and click here for advice on stage performance. Your guitar work was solid - just use your expression to convey the story of the song even more.

ELOISE – Beautiful, unique voice. Lovely tone and super vocal control. Try engaging a little more with the audience and articulating a little more so we can hear everything you are saying. Click here for advice on having good diction.

Tallulah – Great all-round solid performance. There’s a lovely warmth and depth to your vocal - don’t be frightened to really commit fully to the performance. Click here for advice on stage performance. Dynamics can help give greater range to the vocal and performance as a whole. Click here for advice on dynamics.

Ellie Manning – Your song was good but I wasn’t convinced it had a clear hook to make it stick in your head. Use dynamics to drive through the chorus as you’ve not made them distinct enough. Click here for advice on dynamics. Lovely personality showing through. A very easy voice to listen to.

Jason J – The electric guitar idea was a good one but you were a little out of synch on a few occasions. The ear covering is distracting. A very believable, committed performance nonetheless. Do the same with your vocals to take it up to the next level now.

Lara Nash – Take care picking your songs to avoid the duplication of other acts doing the same, popular songs. Click here for advice on the importance of song choice. Lovely vocal control, but you could ‘belt’ more. Great eye contact. Lovely style of voice. Nice arrangement of the song.

Keydot – The song is good but you need to commit more to the performance. The lyrics flowed nicely but you are too static on stage and give little expression. Click here for advice on stage performance. Vocally don’t force it and lose control. Try and articulate a little more so we can hear everything you are saying. Click here for advice on having good diction.
