Liverpool musicians wanted to impress:  At Open Mic UK we provide music industry feedback to all acts that perform in our shows. Below is feedback for acts from the Music contest that took place in Liverpool.

Liverpool auditions for singers: Find industry feedback below. Please be aware views expressed by judges are opinions and subjective to that particular judging panel. Holly Roberts - Lovely sweet vocals and great control. Work on image as it was a bit casual and you need to look a bit more like a performer. Click here for advice on finding an image as a singer. Bit more expression in the vocals would be nice. Click here for advice on how to sing with emotion.

Miss Jenem – Need to work on your vocals in terms of tuning, but it was a good performance. Good original song, but guitar needs to come up a little. Good image. Nice vocal range.

Lauren Glynn – Need to work on your vocal range. Your vocals were good, but it felt like you were rushing. Remember to relax before singing! Click here for tips on overcoming stage fright. Zara O’Koro – Very soulful voice. Nice vocal tone. Great image. Good song choice. Nice and expressive!

Alex Rose – Nice vocal tone and range. Control is needed on your top notes. Good voice, but you did sound slightly nasal. You could really benefit from vocal coaching and performance technique training to polish your skills.

Megan Reay – You looked very nervous (which is understandable!). Click here for tips on overcoming stage fright. Find a song that suits your voice better and work on your pitching and tone. Click here for advice on song choice.

Sophie Whitle – Great original song. Good image. Remember you from last time! Great to hear you again. Well done.

Ellie Darlington – Strong voice. Great range and control. Keep your image unique - click here for advice on finding an image as a singer. Try and inject more passion into the passionate song.

Millie Mae – Amazing original song. Very catchy. Great image for your age. Nice to see you enjoying performing. Work on the lower range of your voice now.

Kenzie Hall – Strong voice. You have to perform the lyrics – tell the story, not just sing. Click here for advice on how to sing with emotion. You were ‘on fire’ though!

Amy Chester – Nice voice. Work on your lower range and tone – not just the high notes.

Jack Desmond – Cheeky smile. You have to look up more to the audience. Find a more unique image. Click here for advice on finding an image as a singer. Nice tone. Still need work on your vocals.

Lily – Great voice. Bit more expression needed when you’re performing. You controlled the song really well though, well done.

Olivia Atkinson – Nice image, great song choice. Loved the way you slowed the song down.

Tabitha Jade – Like your image. Look at the audience more. Enjoyed your audition. Great vocals.

Saffron – Good voice, but don’t think you’re ready just yet. Keep working on your vocals and we hope to see you next year.

Jade – Like your image. Good performance. Try not to do so many runs though.

Taylor – When performing a song from a film or show you have to perform and be more animated. But you showed promise. Click here for some tips on performance skills.

Livvy K – Promising voice, but you looked nervous. Click here for tips on overcoming stage fright. Great voice, lovely tone. Make sure you pick the right song.

Antonia – Like the use of mandolin. Find an image that makes you stand out now. Click here for advice on finding an image as a singer.

Katie Hammond – Good voice. Try not to copy the artist – find your own sound. Here’s how to perform a creative cover.

Chloe Nelson – Good acoustic sound. Keep working on expression. Breathing techniques will help you.

Lewis Maxwell – Remember you from last time! Even more of an improvement – well done! Need to pick songs that show your vocals. Good voice and guitar work. Try and look like you’re enjoying the performance.

Rachel Boal – Good voice that can be developed as your tone is a bit nasally. Make sure you perform to your audience. Click here for some tips on performance skills.

Aaron Edwards – Quirky performance. Try and look like you’re enjoying it more, especially with a fun song! Click here for some tips on performance skills. Good voice and lovely tone.

Tyler – Nice voice. Keep working on it – take lessons! Try and perform a little more. Click here for some tips on performance skills.

Jennifer Rice – Good voice. Work on the dynamics of the song now.

Becky Pomprett – Good vocal tone. You need to open up more now. More power and volume please.

Eliza – Nice voice. You have to concentrate on the verses and low parts of the song – not just the chorus.
