Rachel Lynne Patterson – Lovely tone, vocally secure. The act needs a greater commercial angle, both to achieve an edge and image wise. A heart felt performance; you sang that with such passion. Click here for more advice on singing with emotion.
Ellie Howard – Image suited style, and much colour and shaping to the phrasing. Nice touches expressively. Considered material and despite timing slip after the break and a pitch break. Good performance otherwise. Mic technique helped with performance and projection. Remember to perform through the instrumentals, click here for tips on performance.
Kirsty – Like the tone, and some individual touches. Intonation needs greater consistency – perhaps nerves on a bigger stage? Aim for greater technical foundation, and build up experience. Would be keen to see again.
Liverpool singers wanted – feedback
Megan Roberts – This performance settled into what became an impressive delivery. Technically, very strong in places. You need to now have a think about stagecraft, image, and presenting with assurance to move to the next level. Stunning voice, you hit the notes effortlessly.
Deana –Slower tempo was well held, plosive consonants were managed. Try to avoid long intro’s / open instrument parts and give thought to how your image and overall performance can complement the genre. It didn't quite work as a package, but good vocals.
Frankie Boswell - Like the image which suited the song choice, you took the opportunity to use the stage, which shows an understanding of the need for performance. Try to develop this. Body language and elements of emotion added character. A better act today.
Shea Doolin – Interesting interpretation, like the controlled intensification, individual, passionate, a little raw. Needs polish and an edge, but something there. Confident performance. Loved it as it started to build.
Paige and Meg – Good use of stage. Image seems disconnected, click here for tips on image. Harmonies need finer blending in places, but potential here. With more work you could have something.
Sophie Adamson – Lovely image and great material choice. Slightly tentative vocal delivery which affected consistency of tone. You need to be absolutely committed to be convincing, even if you don't feel like it! Click here for tips on singing with emotion.
Sarah Emily – Good use of mic, like the audience involvement, vocally confident with projection and contrast. Still not sure which style you are seeking, but one of the more assured performances today. Fabulous stage presence! Click here for more advice on stage presence.
Adam Williams – You are good at what you do. Man with guitar, with a good voice and confident. There are many in your style so to go to the next level you need to develop this and find an edge. Good performance though. Very confident and relaxed performance.
Shanelle and Jess – Good song choice and good vocals – there’s commercial potential here but split the judges. Solid vocals here.
James Hartley – Secure performance, good song choice. To move forward, you need to develop yourself as a commercial act. Think about how you can compete with the numerous others with a good voice and guitar. Consider your image to help you stand out; click here for tips on image.
Liverpool singers wanted – feedback
Laureena - Like the image. Solid vocals (Less exact moments, slightly thin in places). Backing track a bit too karaoke (sorry!) – would like to see again with different repertoire. Could’ve made better use of the stage, click here for tips on performance
Kiera Bickerstaff – Great vocal shaping, delivery, expression and personalization. Be careful not to overdo it with the ornamentation though. You also need to present the act with more attention to overall image as a duo. Maybe bring in more musicians to give greater intensification?
Cara Fitzpatrick – Well done to walk on with a smile! Confident delivery, with attention given to how you look and you understand that the delivery needs presenting as a performance – well done here. Enjoyed this, but still not sure what style are trying to achieve – maybe make this clearer? There’s real star quality here.
Niamh Lynch - Well controlled slower tempo piece – brave choice in a competition it worked for you. Much feeling conveyed, click here for tips on singing with emotion. Try to take greater command of the stage though Niamh. Feel like you just sang us a story.
Lauren Lovelle - This piece took a while to get going, perhaps a little self indulgent? It is obvious you have a huge voice, and need a huge musical support. Keys in this way is not enough. You seemed so comfortable on stage.
