Moro – Good start of the show. Very interesting, unique voice. Good recovery when you forgot your words. Need to balance out the volume of the voice and guitar more. Felt a bit rushed. Confident delivery.
Emily Jones – Lovely, lovely timbre of voice. Got even better as confidence built. Needs to work on movement and gestures and performance. Click here for tips on performing visually. Some pitching issues in places, so watch out for that. Good song choice.
Emily Howarth – Very good voice to go on dance tracks! Really need to work on impact and performance. Click here for tips on performing visually. Strong voice. Interesting song choice.
Villain – Tuneless song. Couldn’t tell if he was singing in tune or not! Elements of good vocals evident but the key of the song was too low. Switch it up next time for intensity. Makes the most of his time. Very positive. Great, confident presence though which is worth developing.
Jordan A – Interesting, energetic performer. Confident connection with audience. You own the stage like no one else so far. However, now you need to make sure the vocals are up to scratch too, as everything else is there! Click here for advice on the importance of singing lessons.
Lazerette – A star is born! Very cute image. Feel like you needed a more show-stopping outfit to reflect your vocal ability - click here for advice on act image. Great song choice. Learn how to move your body more to compliment the tone of the song. Click here for tips on performing visually. Could benefit from vocal coaching to improve lower range and voice control. Click here for advice on the importance of singing lessons.
Kelsey Gill – Nice, pretty vocal tone. Original. Great image and voice. Good musicality with excellent guitarist. Your hair was in the way at times – you need to watch this! Would be good to see you move more - click here for tips on performing visually.
Cara May – Nice interpretation of the song. Would like to have heard variation of dynamics. Click here for advice on dynamics. Felt there was a real emotional intelligence in this slow version. Great voice – you’re a very good singer. However, now you need to work on your impact and performance. Click here for tips on performing visually.
James and Holly – Nice sound together. Try to develop an on stage connection and chemistry between you.
Amy Robertson – Good interpretation of song. Nice eye contact and performance throughout. Think you could have chosen a more challenging song. Click here for advice on the importance of song choice. You’d be better taking the mic out of the stand. Strong voice.
Chris Theobald – Nice sound. Outstanding voice and nice guitar playing. Strong potential here. Great that he involved the audience. Chris put his heart and soul into it. Really liked image. Watch out for the transition into more complicated rhythms.
Chloe – Lovely tone. Nice song choice. Need some additional training to strengthen your higher register. This will really improve your performances. Click here for advice on the importance of singing lessons. I was longing for some movement and life on the stage. Click here for tips on performing visually.
Jordan Drinkwater – Nice connection with the audience. Moves easily from one range and style to another. First class for the genre. Great story-telling technique. Really liked the build. Could have sung it higher for the intensity!
Manchester singers wanted – feedback continued
Holly White – Excellent vocal range. Just need to watch timing a bit, otherwise you’re a confident performer with potential.
Alex Vass – Nice song choice and good accompaniment. Felt it was a bit too clean and unvaried – think about how you can make it more unique. Click here for more tips on performing a creative cover.
Laura – Nice voice. Make more use of the space on stage and get the audience involved. Click here for tips on performing visually. I found the tempo changes strange. Raise the key of the song a little. There were a few pitching issues so watch out for those.
Mikki Redhead – Gorgeous image. Lovely song and build. Liked the way you showed the performance through piano playing as well. Super talented piano-based singer-songwriter. A very credible artist.
Samantha Rose – Gorgeous voice. Feel like you’re not as confident in your ability as you should be! Work on performance techniques to help this. Click here for tips on performing visually.
Shannon Gillespie – Beautiful voice and great playing. Can hear story-telling in your tone. Need to see it more now in facial expressions. Click here for advice on using facial expressions when performing.
Cameron Forrest – Never really realised what a romantic song ‘Candy’ is. You made me listen to the words. Liked the sparseness of a capella singingand reverb- really helped build later in the song. Vocals and playing were excellent. Just needs to move a little more now. Click here for tips on performing visually.
Faheem the Singer – Great voice – stunning and velvet. A bit too legato. Sometimes pronunciation was lost. Click here for advice on diction. Also prefer faster tempo of the original. Go up to high notes like Sam does in future.
Aeron – Beautiful voice. Very soulful and nice use of higher register. Need to work on timing alongside singing. Strong image. Guitar playing didn’t match the standard of the vocals, Perhaps lose the guitar for now until your playing is stronger.
James Walsh – Nice image. Very Simon and Garfunkel. Stage presence was very relaxed! Think the cover could have been taken further.
Divhine Honey – Beautiful voice and image. Totally understood what you were singing about – very engaging performance. Very good range.
Lua – Confident performance. Looked very comfortable.
Fabian and Kyrome Richards – Nice song but don’t think it did you justice. Watch out for timing on guitar and levels on beat-boxing vs singing.
Nia – Excellent vocal performance. Stayed a bit too samey dynamically. Click here for advice on dynamics. Would love to hear you do an uptempo gospel song!
