Chloe Mannerings – You used the stage well but overall a nervy performance, which you could hear in the vocals which affected your tuning. More performance will build help your confidence and get this out of you, click here for tips on building stage confidence. A good vocal coach will be able to assist you singing under pressure, tuning and projection, click here for the importance of voice training.
Sophie Annabelle – Song choice was good for you vocally as suited your nicer sounding part of your range, click here for importance of song choice. You however have to perform more and learn to express emotion when singing. Use that stage and bring the performance alive, click here for tips on performance.
Paularue – Lovely control not just of your vocals but of the room of a song that is full of emotion. What perhaps it lacked is a vocal or melody hook to really grab you.
Andrea – Remember your performance starts as soon as you get on that stage, looked nervy and you made it worse by just being static whilst waiting for the backing track to start, click here for tips on performance. You were out of key for parts of the song and a good vocal coach will be able to assist you with tuning and singing under pressure to be even better, click here for the importance of voice training.
Maia Perry – Good connection emotionally to the song, good control and comfortable performing around the stage. Two areas you could improve in though firstly mic control, click here for microphone techniques. It’s important to remember to keep that mic close to your mouth at all times to avoid losing projection, secondly better dynamics would have captured the emotion of the song even more, click here for more information on dynamics.
Jordan Hay – Nice song, good lyrics could have done with a change up to really push through that chorus with a mixture of dynamics and projection.
Kasia – A good song, with the lyrics flowing well, the guitar work could have worked better to support that. The song could have done with a change up to really push through that chorus with a mixture of dynamics and projection.
Milton Keynes singers wanted
Sapphire – Worth considering a change of name slightly as we have an act called Sapphire who has made the Grand Final before and has received over 2 million views on YouTube, click here for the importance of a stage name. Strong vocally but it lacked facial expression to really convey the emotion of the song even more, click here for tips on facial expression.
Sophie Kitchener – Vocal has a natural vibrato which is nice but be careful not to over use it. Song needed dynamics was very much on one level and you needed to let it breathe in places and in others push it, click here for more information on dynamics.
David Perkins – Nicely sung but you needed to commit more to the performance, more eye contact and dynamics to drive the performance, click here for more information on dynamics. Working with a good vocal coach would give you another gear or two with your projection and range; vocal has a nice tone but a little thin in places, click here for the importance of voice training.
Sharna – Good idea to have guitar backing, try and connect as performers on stage with the odd glance or connection. Vocally the power is there but better dynamics would take this performance to a different level, click here for more information on dynamics.
Alfie Jack – Good projection on the vocals and dynamics but not convinced the song is catchy enough to be a single. It’s a little repetitive and you hang on the phrasing too long needs a few more twist and turns, which could easily be added, click here for more information on dynamics.
Giordana – Good song choice and to do it acoustically although wasn’t totally comfortable on the high notes, click here for importance of song choice. Again there wasn’t control when there needed to be on the N Trance cover.
Daisy Day – Distinctive image, good projection to your vocal and liked the pickup in the song. Needs a vocal hook “I'm thru with this” should be developed to be the killer line to the whole song.
