Music Auditions in Liverpool
Georgia Brown - Strong deep voice, good control and rich tone, plus controlled when hitting the high notes. Look forward to hearing with music. Be good to a gain little more confidence to match your voice, click here for building stage confidence. Great vocal range and powerful voice. Keep your eyes open when you perform so we can connect with the song, click here for stage performance tips. Great intense performance, great rich voice.
Rossi Walsh-O'Neill - Vocals good, kept in time well. Nice top notes, great work for not yelling those, click here for ways to achieve better vocal projection.
Sophie Proctor - Unique sound to voice, soft tone so would be good to hear behind a microphone, however interested to hear more with a PA behind her voice, click here for more on microphone technique. You need to develop your chest voice so you can gain more volume and tone on the bottom notes. Work on confidence and chest voice. A vocal coach will be able to help you develop your chest voice, click here for the importance of singing lessons.
Georgia Farrell - Voice in tune and control good. Would be good to hear a little more control over the higher notes. Great voice, more power needed in lower notes. A little more vocal training will help you control those notes better, and gain a little more strength, click here for the importance of singing lessons. Nice tone, watch tuning on certain parts.
Megan Basford - Her own song, impressive...nice tone to voice. Good guitar playing too...definitely want to hear more! Good image too, fits the song; click here for more on act image and synchronisation. Great style, very popular film based track, good structure. Beautiful low notes, I would have liked to see you take the melody higher in places to create more dramatic moments. Great song, catchy lovely sound- good look.
Amber Marsden - Confident start, impressive for her age and hit the notes well. Voice needs to mature a little but has great potential for the future. A bit more clarity needed. A little work developing more depth in your voice will make a big difference to how your singing voice will impact. Watch tuning and nerves, click here for building stage confidence.
Caitlin Davis - Style and voice suited to stage shows, strong performance and will be good to see her use more of the stage when given the opportunity, click here for stage performance tips. Very confident, great projection. Song choice varied from other acts. Musical theatre isn't the best genre for this competition, perhaps try some pop crossover music like Barbara Streisand, click here for the importance of song choice. Great power and stage performance.
Millie Mae - Great to hear her own song and have backing, plus hitting the notes well and movement in the room, in spite of being in the preliminary auditions. Modern sounding vocal, confident, would work with a variety of genres. I'd like to see you develop a stronger chest voice so you can gain more strength and quality on those lower notes in particular. Great look, good stage presence- work on strength, strength is something that can be worked on with a vocal coach, click here for the importance of singing lessons.
Open Mic UK – Music Auditions in Liverpool
Megan Peake - In time with the backing, good control. Sometimes a little focus on the tuning when hitting the lower notes. Big loud voice. Beautiful tone; just watch those lower notes- stay in your chest voice firmly so they don't go breathy and meek. Also steer clear of over used songs, it makes it difficult for you to stand out! Click here for the importance of song choice. Nice tone more confidence needed.
Lauren Glynn - Started well, voice good. Would like to hear more tuning control on some of the notes, but with backing or a band behind her, will be interested to see whether it raises. Put your own spin on the vocal line, made her own. You need to learn how to counter balance the effect your nerves have on your voice. A few deep breaths make a big difference! Posture and stage presence need work; click here for tips for singing on stage.
Justine Saville - Good rich tone to voice, timing is good. Intrigued to see performance on a bigger stage and how she uses it and takes to a bigger crowd. Hits higher notes with a good force. Vocal range was great, higher notes strong and projected very well. You need to build the strength of connection between chest and head voice so your higher notes have the same tone and strength as the lower ones. Good control, more projection needed when song is stopping.
Lana Oates - Beautiful voice, very polished and professional. Definitely potential for more of a classical sound, hits the high notes well too! Song fitted the vocal style well, great use of vibrato. You must develop your chest voice so your lower notes will have more strength and tone. This will also add depth to your top notes. Great diction- could do with a little more stage presence, click here for tips for singing on stage.
Kayleigh Williams - Instant power came out of voice, rich deep tone- sound filled the room! Hadn't heard anything else like this today yet, I want to hear more on a bigger stage! Quirky image, click here for more on act image and synchronisation. Incredible capturing of the original artist's style, Abstract song choice. Make sure your vocal styling doesn't go so far that we can no longer understand the lyrics- lyrics are important! Click here for more on diction for singers. Develop your higher range so you have more options. Great look, fantastic tone and bass very rich.
Catherine Andrews - Vocal tone good, would like to hear more power. The voice is there completely but just needs a little more power. Well done though! Needs to be louder with more clarity. You must develop your chest voice so your lower notes will have strength and tone. Great hat. Great look and rich tone- more like to hear a little more projection, click here for more on how to achieve better vocal projection.
Isabella Forbes - Good image, good song choice and accomplished guitar playing. Would like to hear more volume with vocals, however there is some good potential here. Very easy listening, strong vocal- very calm and confident. Watch you don't get too light on all your bottom notes or it looses its impact. I'd like to hear you take it higher in places. Very cool look, strong intense performance.
Judge’s Feedback for Music Auditions in Liverpool
Matthew Jones - Great confident start, and good to hear own song. Look forward to hearing more on live shows! Catchy modern songwriter, good sense of dynamics. Open your eyes when you perform so we can connect with you better. Learn how to control your top notes so they don't get shouty, click here for vocal exercises for singers. Great song, great projection!
Cal Ruddy - Well written song, sounds like it could have fitted the soundtrack to Sons of Anarchy- Americana but great! Hard to place the sound of voice, certainly different! Good power came out and filled the room. Very good song choice for style, vocal dynamics strong, emotion in voice was captivating. You're singing with a very high larynx, which makes your tone a little nasally, that can be easily adjusted with good vocal training, click here for the importance of singing lessons. Character in your voice, lovely dark song and powerful performance.
Natalia Tavini - Voice a little quiet and nasally, however sound is good. Very melodic and a good tone plus has a unique and appealing feel to it! Great song too. More confidence, would like to hear more dynamics on the guitar. Your tongue is a little tight at the back, which makes the tone go a little nasally at times. Work on fixing this and you'll see a big difference! Great performance, which embodied the song, felt the words- very 60's folk style.
21 and Overs
Siobhan McNally - Good strong start, filled the room with sound and vocal tone. Controlled and focused performance. Great vocal vibrato and very strong voice. Make sure you choose the best key for you- you started too low on this one. Great vibrato and look! Powerful and loud.
Olivia Wood - Quite a relaxed sound to your voice, felt comfortable listening to her. Tone was rich sounding and a very mature performance. Key suited the vocals very well, more abstract song. Your tongue is a little tight at the back, which is restricting the tone on your top notes. Work on this and you'll see a big difference, click here for the importance of singing lessons. Rich tone, great song interpretation.
