Live Singing Opportunities

The successful singers from the auditions will be asked back to have the opportunity to compete in the Open Mic regional finals showcase which will be at the most prestigious live music venues throughout the UK. The regional final will also include a special guest performance plus all the best unsigned acts in your region in a showcase to Judges from National Radio one, BBC Introducing, Regional Press & record labels as well as the general public. At the Live shows the contestants will be battling it out for a place in the National Showcase Grand Final at The O2.

The Grand Final of the competition is situated in the capital of the UK in the best live music venue in the country. It will provide acts with the opportunity to impress many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry including celebrity judges. There will be a live crowd of over 2,000 people, where the overall winner of Open Mic UK 2011 will be announced! The Grand Final of the competition will provide acts with the opportunity to impress many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry including celebrity judges to be confirmed ahead of the final.

Flavour Magazine award the award to an act of the Urban, Pop genre as selected by Flavourmagazine writer SemperAzeez-Harris, who said the outstanding act and winner for our award is Shakwho win a comprehensive package which includes coverage on the website, a double page feature in the magazine and TV interview.

Exposure Award winner Caroline Eve wins recording studio time in a recording studio of their choice worth up to £500. This award was for the act that achieved the largest quantity of submitted publicitymaterial.

Extreme exposure Award winner Karla Bernardi wins recording studio time in a recording studio of their choice worth up to £500. The award was given to the act that achieved the most ‘high profile’ publicity material.

MUZU exposure Award The overall winner Beth Penrose (from Truro)achieved the most views on MUZU.TV for their Open MicUK filmed footage and has won an exclusive all expenses paid trip to Dublin to make a music video in the MUZU.TV studio.

Nick D’Souza (from Stanwell)and Paige (from Fauldhousein Scotland) were runners up and won promotional prizes on the MUZUsite with an equivalent value up to €5000.
