Full PA is provided here, along with a guitar amp, Cajon, keyboard and electric drum kit by request. It’s normally a busy open mic with a range of performance styles and genres.

#2 The Old Bull’s Head: Open Mic with Rumour
The second open mic on our list is at The Old Bull’s Head. Run by Liz Nicholls and Peter Brookes from the band Rumour, this open mic is a very popular event on our list.
Held every other Thursday, the open mic at The Old Bull’s Head is specifically targeted at acoustic musicians. This one is perfect for you if you’re a singer or play an acoustic instrument.

#4 Claptrap The Venue: Sunday Shenanigans
You can always ensure that you’ll have a great night at “Sunday Shananigans.” Featuring musicians of all ages and abilities, this is a night anyone can come down to and feel at home.
The room plan makes it easy to socialise with fellow musicians, and the venue is a great location for those who live in Dudley.

Walsall’s longest standing open mic is back! Now happening on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at The Victoria (Katz) in Walsall (just a short drive from Dudley).
It has a friendly atmosphere with a great selection of ales. All capabilities are welcome. For an open mic spot, message them and they’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

A very popular open mic with the locals – if you play an instrument, especially guitar, bass, or drums, this is the one for you.
This night has more of a jam night format with recent guest hosts including the Shambolics, but solo singers are more than welcome to play a short set if they wish.

Dirty Rockers: Open Mic Night
This one is a newer open mic, starting in November and situated at Dirty Rockers, Dudley. They are the only Rock venue in Dudley and want to make their mark to make Dudley one of the hot spots for live music, with your help.
They’re located in the town centre and are very popular with the locals already. They give upcoming singers and artists gig opportunities as well as the chance to play at their brand new open mic night.

Old Hill Cricket Club: Craig’s Open Mic Night
Another open mic hosted by Craig Ainsbury. This one is held at the Old Hill Cricket Club, Cradley – the Long Hop Tap House building in Dudley.
Craig has been hosting this one for a few months now – a new addition to his open mics that he runs across the midlands.
They have a full PA, guitars, DI box, drums, Cajon, and a keyboard on request. To join in, musicians just need to turn up and put their names on a blackboard.
The night is at ground level in a club with lots of seating a great bar and a stage. They have bands, solos, and all sorts of other musicians. It’s a fun night, and they regularly have multiple singers and musicians who all join up together for jams.
They also have special one-off open mics for special occasions where everyone does a song together if they wish. It’s a great place for musicians to make new friends and chat music.
This open mic is monthly, starting at 5pm. Food is available to order at the bar and they regularly have a great audience.

Clayton Park Hub: Coseley Does Noise
For young people, by young people, “Coseley Does Noise” is a monthly space to build community, meet people, share music, and develop skills.
It’s a multi-genre night and they programme local quality artists who contribute to the community as part of their open mic nights.
The set-up is usually an open mic night followed by a headline artist with a space to jam throughout the night. Sign-up is at the venue.
