Jamie Searls works in A&R and Admissions for Tileyard Education. He manages both national and international writing camps and pitches tracks written to publishing companies, management teams and record labels. He also runs the monthly A&R sessions at Tileyard Education, conversational interviews with some of the biggest Artists/Producers/A&R Scouts/Publishers/Labels/Managers in the Music Industry.
Previous guests have included La Roux, BBC 6’s Tom Robinson and grammy winning producer Aamir Yaqub. He also oversees entry of applicants who wish to study one of 6 boutique MA course at Tileyard Education.
Jamie is also a singer-songwriter and professional backing vocalist. His work has been featured on Clash, Wonderland and BBC Introducing. His writing Credits include Sony ATV, Ninja tunes and Universal Music. He sang backing vocals for Adele, completed 3 UK theatre tours and was a West End leading male. He was once a member of Urban Voices Collective and is currently a lead vocalist for Some Voices Choir.
