Having helped literally hundreds of singers with their voices and performance skills throughout her teaching career, Julie Miles owner of Vocal Ovation, has rapidly become the most highly rated and sought after vocal coach in the North East with students travelling from all parts of the UK and beyond to work with her.
With over 4 decades of experience in music, performing, singing and coaching, alongside an ongoing commitment to her own training, it’s hardly surprising Julie is constantly booked months in advance by singers of all ages, experience and musical genres.
After training for many years with celebrity vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant and other renowned voice instructors across Europe and North America, as a qualified voice teacher it’s no surprise Julie is an absolute stickler for sound vocal technique. In addition however, she has a keen eye for recognising talent so is very much geared towards working with singers on all the necessary aspects that will help them develop into successful artists and engaging performers.
Year after year, more and more of her students have hit our TV screens on the most coveted of talent shows; The Voice, The Voice Kids, X Factor, Got What It Takes and most recently, made history, when her student Courtney Hadwin got the only Golden Buzzer performance ever from a UK singer at America’s Got Talent.
Julie is rightfully proud to have an ever-growing list of singers performing at the kind of venues that dreams are made of; Wembley Arena, Metro Radio Arena, O2 London, O2 Academies up and down the country, plus some of the biggest festivals across the UK and Europe, alongside some major worldwide names; Nicole Scherzinger, John Legend, Dua Lipa, Olly Murs, Mel C, Duffy, Karen Harding, to name but a few.
As one of our head judges, it’s fair to say, her credentials most certainly stack up!
