ESSEX MUSIC COMPETITION – MARCONI SOCIAL CLUB

The Marconi Social Club in Essex was founded in 1910, originally a Wireless and Telegraph company, one of the biggest employers in Chelmsford. In 1964, the club moved to its current location on Beehive Lane.

In 2012, the new Marconi Social Club opened its door, inviting sportsman, dancers and community groups in for regular events throughout the week. With many theatre companies choosing the Marconi Social Club as a stop on its tour, its portfolio continues to increase.

The main theatre plays host to the Essex music competition at the Marconi Social Club due to its modern technology and décor. They have now played host to a wide audience of people and performers, hosting events such as BBC’s Question Time!
